  • Cancel the free trial!!! Not easy!

    By knreivera
I have been trying to cancel the free trial for four days now and still can’t figure out how to do it this is ridiculous
  • Full of advertisements!!

    By Rosh_sha
Even if you have a membership you have to watch 5mins of advertisements for every 15mins-20mins of show or may be less. Literally ruins the watching experience.
  • Horrendously overpriced

By Only available in some areas
I have to say that I was thoroughly disappointed. 1. This product is WAY too expensive for what it offers 2. There are very few channels..(no nickelodeon) 3. Technical errors with the app on any smart tv 4. The tv app could not be Less user friendly or comfortable 5. The dvr isn’t true or real dvr 6. You still get TV ads that you can’t skip 7. Now you ALSO get YouTube ads on top of regular ads. Really bad value overall.. sling is a much better and cheaper option starting at $20, I pay $5 extra for DVR on sling and $10 extra for the “laugh” package that has a butt load of extra good channels. That puts me at $35, still LESS than YouTube’s starting cost! And 200% the channels, much better interface and experience. Real dvr. Plus hbo movies and searching that is a lot better.. I love google but this app idea is as bad as Comcast and direct tv...
  • Live TV & Recorded Content Consistent Issues

    By 49er4evr
Serious issues on iPhone 11.4.1 (15G77) and on Apple TV 4K 11.4.1 (15M73) still have serious problems playing anything either on Live TV & Recorded. Freezing, video buffering, and low quality. Will not play in full 1080p HD, only plays at 480p or under on Live TV and recorded shows. Seems the last update or previous it started doing this. With the issues from the World Cup we need this fixed fast before big shows return next month or I’m switching to another service that can provide proper HD quality and no buffering.
  • On the way to being great

    By h4rdware
Great service, Good content, DVR is awesome. My downsides, however are mostly with app features, or the lack thereof. My main issues is that the app does not support the window in window feature that almost every other steaming app does. To go along with that the basic iPad status info across the top of the screen is unavailable while streaming, so if I want to know what time it is I have to close app. I’ve also had the app get stuck when casting, The casting screen is on the app and I can control the video but I can’t escape or minimize that screen to start a different video or browse. I end up having to close the app and disconnect the Cast session. Some other downsides of the service are that it wouldn’t let me cast to my 1st gen chromecast so I had to get a new one, and that some on demand channels, like ABC, have 8 commercial breaks in an hour long show with 6 commercials each. This is probably not up to YouTube but is also the biggest reason I cut the cord. I don’t mind some commercials but that is ridiculous. [Edit] I’ve noticed less commercials in the shows I watch now, there are usually 3 per half hour with 4 per break, much more acceptable.
  • good app

only writing this to see if it can get to 4 stars and not 3.9
  • Setup looking for...

    By Ontir
HGTV, DIY, the Paramount Chanel, how about Channel 4 from the UK? Last time I updated by review I as told there was a place to request channels, but it wasn't a link, and when I typed the address in, repeatedly, I was told there's no "there" there.
  • Needs Picture-In-Picture & Split Screen

    By Phantom Pathfinder
I like YouTube TV, but the iPad app needs picture-in-picture support. Competitive offerings such as Hulu Live TV, DirecTV Now & PS Vue all support picture-in-picture, which is a must-have feature. But not YouTube TV, which is pathetic. Also, YouTube TV lacks support for split-screen view, which allows you to multitask & use another app while watching video. This is very strange considering that the rest of Google’s apps, including YouTube, support split-screen. Come on Google, support picture-in-picture for the YouTube TV app on the iPad, or, at the very least, support split-screen/multitasking! Otherwise, it’s a great product. UPDATE: The release notes for the latest version of the iPad app says it supports split-view for multitasking, but it doesn’t. I deleted & reinstalled the app just to be sure & even rebooted my iPad. Still doesn’t work. “Truth in advertising” guys, please fix this. Embarrassing.
  • Split screen?

    By EliasBBC
Split screen doesn’t work at all (iOS 11.4.1, 9.7” iPad). After waiting for this feature for a while, now when the app gets updated it doesn’t work. Hopefully you can fix it soon; and why not support PiP now?
  • Terrible Parental Controls

    By Perrotta83
This is an issue that needs to be addressed. We tried the one week trial and the parental controls are so abysmal we won’t be paying to keep it. I’d imagine many other parents are in the same boat. In this day and age it’s shocking that they didn’t have a better handle on that before they even launched it.
