Get to a healthier and more active life with Google Fit! It’s hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That’s why Google Fit collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you Heart Points, an activity goal that can help improve your health. Activities that get your heart pumping harder have tremendous health benefits for your heart and mind. You’ll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity like picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30-minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO’s recommended amount of physical activity shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep, and increase overall mental wellbeing. Google Fit will also help you: SEE YOUR WORKOUTS Get insights and see stats such as heart rate, speed, pace, route, and more for your runs, walks, and bike rides. MONITOR YOUR GOALS See your daily progress on your Heart Points and steps. Meeting your goals all the time? Easily adjust your goals to keep challenging yourself to achieve a healthy heart and mind. MAKE EVERY MOVE COUNT All physical activity can help you lead a healthier life, and with Google Fit you can track it all in one place. Working with your favorite fitness apps and devices, Google Fit builds a journal of your activity. And to make sure Fit never misses a workout, you can manually add any activity your other apps didn’t track - from Aerobics to Zumba! CONNECT WITH YOUR FAVORITE APPS AND DEVICES Google Fit can show you info from many of your favorite apps and devices that are compatible with Apple Health to give you a holistic view of your health, so you’ll never lose track of your progress. These include Lifesum, Runkeeper, Strava, MyFitnessPal, Headspace, and more. CHECK IN AT ANYTIME, FROM ANYWHERE See a snapshot of your activity history across Google Fit and your integrated apps in your journal. • Terrible App on iOS

    By XiaoB
Google Fit is useless on iOS! It’s a much better App on Android! Besides the missing features, Fit has a mind of its own and counts steps backwards, and does not synch with Health properly. Really disappointing! Shame!
  • Deducting steps and heart points

    By Ch3ll33
I am frustrated that Google Fit will alert me that I have reached my steps goal and my heart points and then the tracking ring would suddenly move backwards and deduct heart points and about 1,300-2,000 steps. I walk the same distance, same pace, and the same time duration but there are days that wouldn’t show that I’ve reached my goals. Sometimes, I would see that I have reached my steps and heart points goals for the week but would see some days with incomplete rings the following day.
  • It doesn’t update steps

    By noname1273
Even I walked for 30m, the total steps didn’t increase. Sometimes, it even decreased though I walked for 20m more.
  • Desyncs and becomes useless.

    By Mamoruanime
Fit worked great for nearly 3 weeks, and then it completely desyced from Health, losing roughly 2000 steps every walk. Threads about this get locked by Google claiming it’s Health’s fault, however their troubleshooting doesn’t work. It’s a pull issue with Fit and it gets confused. Refresh doesn’t work. Needs a manual sync option. Daily goals are meaningless if this doesn’t properly keep track of things. There are enough complaints about this to be a priority issue, but Google refuses to acknowledge it’s an issue with their app. Update: it still just inexplicably breaks. You need to uninstall and reinstall to get it to sync. It’s crazy how they will deflect this problem as an apple health problem when clearly it has something to do with fit just ignoring the data after a while.

It have been a productive program for me. I am new to some of the use but will continue. Thanks.
  • Which is to blame iOs or Google?

    By Julie-jr
Google Fit route map does not function with iOS. And there is no “Track Activity” option which lets you track a workout, only “Add Activity” which lets you manually enter. Very disappointing.

  • Doesn’t sync

    By Henz2488311790542
Sleep stats won’t update even as my steps do update
  • Doesn’t connect to FitBit; utter silliness

    By laslo0728
Google owns FitBit, yet doesn’t allow FitBit data to be used in this app.
  • Eventually it stops responding, especially on my watch

    By Goyoi
Works for a while flawlessly, then the heart monitor will start to not respond , after getting that to work , later on the workout feature starts to give a similar message… cannot start xxxxx and my only option is to reset… eventually it gets redundant… so it’s a useless app for me , as I’ve installed it after updates thinking those issues will resolve … oh well… when it works , it works nicely …
