everything has been moved around and its clear from the location of the 'reserved ip' option that the person who designed the interface had no networking knowledge

Look we mainly use the home app to control speakers throughout the house along with the doorbell/backyard cam..the old app was way easier. New way is less responsive and sometimes won’t show what’s casting to The speakers at the bottom of the home page..also for the 100s of automations why the heck can’t y’all have white noise play on all the speakers at a certain time?? Only option you get it to cast to 1 specific speaker..that would be nice to cast to all speakers so I don’t have to tell google to play my playlist every night.

It’s suddenly working with my older cams and the newer wireless solar cams we use, and notifications finally show previews, link straight to the cam so the action isn’t missed when something is going on, and I really don’t have any complaints about it now… other than it shoulda just worked like this from the beginning — but it really is great now!

I just received an answer to my review of Google Home and the incompetency persist on the issue of Google (and no other Application) fails to permit two gang switches to work individually. Once again the usual restart the modem, reset it, update the app, send us this or that info, blah, blah, blah. There are a lot of customers having this same problem since around Nov - Dec 2022 and all you do is giving instructions to perform user level actions that we all have done many times along with providing you all kind of info to you and you never come thru with a solution that is your responsibility. When I served in the US Army this type of conduct and neglect was labeled “dereliction of duty” and that was enough to “fire some people”…. Google your staff responsible for fixing this are making you look like “a mall cell phone repair booth”.

New version isn’t it. Harder to navigate, less user friendly.
  • App should be better

I use the Home App specifically for nest wifi management. Why aren’t more options available to sort and view devices on the network? I don’t care about any device’s usage stats, but there are times when I’d like to view all connected devices and sort them (ascending/descending) by ip address. There’s no way to do that. Also, why is it I cannot remove/delete a device? No longer used devices that previously connected to the network just show up as offline. If devices are no longer used, the the user should have the option to remove those devices from the network list. Update from dev response: Not every single wifi connected device on my network is part of my Google Home. Example & exact case scenario: Old Galaxy S4 connects to my network. The device breaks. It cannot connect to my network anymore. I should have the option/ability to remove that device from the network ip address list. I don’t want to see the device as “offline,” I want to remove it. How to do that specifically?
  • Slow

I mainly use this app to view my nest cameras. It is so freaking slow and many cases I can’t see any footage because it just won’t open. My internet or wifi is not the issue since I can browse internet with no prob. Prob started when nest and google migrated. Nightmare since! Don’t use google products.
  • Update is horrible

The update that launched this past week is awful. For my nest cam it’s extremely glitchy and it takes hours for 10 second videos to become available. Needs to be fixed immediately or rolled back to what worked prior before releasing shotty software.
  • Infuriating app, I want Nest functionality back

Trying to remove an old home. Help says to use the Nest app. Nest app says to use the home app. Camera monitoring lacks features that Nest app had years ago.
  • Missing media button

How do I play music on speaker groups FROM THE APP and control speaker groups device volumes? I used to use the “media” button. Where did it go?!? Now I can only talk to my google device to play music? This is very inconvenient, I liked it so much better when I could control everything from my app. Please revert the update.
