Description

Record Lectures was Featured by Apple in "Best New Apps" and as one of the best apps for " Back to school" Record Lectures was built with the purpose of allowing anyone who records lectures, meetings and conversations to be able to store them in a calendar and be able to share these recordings easily. Record Lectures is a must have app for everyone who is going to school or attends conferences or meetings. Record Lectures allows students and business people to record and file lectures and presentations away into a neatly organized calendar marked by subject (topic). The simplicity of operation of this app truly makes it a great tool. Seeing the lectures noted on the calendar for reference certainly makes it really organized and easy to find again and play back. Record Lectures will make a big difference in your daily life when it comes to finding and using your recordings actively in your studies and business activities.

Its hard to hear the recorded lectures.
  • No instructions…. nothing

It seems like a good idea and probably is (V 3.0) but there are absolutely no instructions, no manual and I can’t get it to work. What to do? No support. No manual. No good. I’m an “old guy” altho I worked in IS/IT development for 37 years. I suspect my 13-year old grand daughter could probably show me what’s needed but she’s a 2,000 miles away. What a pain. There’s far too much of this in the development world … a lack of seeing it from the user’s perspective instead of the developers. I used to lecture my developers that the computer is there to HELP the user. So it doesn’t matter how difficult it is for the developer, they must think of it as “how can I help the user” …. period. This product needs help desperately. It’s the perfect example of “how not to do it” for classroom study. THERE IS a link on this page that reads: Record Lectures Support …. but it directs me to buying another app, nothing to do with Record Lectures. So even the App Store can’t get it right. Using their search for “Record Lectures Support” returns “no results”. Pathetic.
  • Used to be great

I’ve had this app throughout my four years of undergrad, and it has only stopped working this past semester. I am VERY disappointed that it no longer will record a lecture all the way through without stopping.I have to stop the recording and start another one, losing material in between.
  • Horrible Playback

I bought this app to use to record lectures for college. It was a waste of money. I tried to play it back and was extremely disappointed. It played about the first minute perfectly, but then sped up the recording too fast to even try to understand. I’m not sure it would do this if I listened to the entire thing from the beginning, but I wanted to move forward to a certain topic discussed. Instead, I got 50 minutes of lecture (which it says is the time of the recording, by the way) in 5 minutes of actual playback. Do not spend money on this app. You will be sorry you did.
  • so many flaws

this app has so many technical flaws. It will randomly speed up the recordings so fast that I can’t understand them without slowing them down through a different app. There will be random loud bursts of static. It will stop recording when my computer goes to sleep, which I understand, but it gives the false premise that it kept recording becuase the time wont stop until you pause it. so say my computer went to sleep after 15 minutes of a lecture, and after the lecture i stop it at 50 minutes. it’ll show up as a 50 minute recording, but whe you play it only 15 minutes are there. so you don’t know until you missed something really important and you want to go back to hear it. theres no way of avoiding it i guess, but the typing is super loud in the recordings. I had high hopes, I’m dissapointed.
  • Deletes your audio

I downloaded the app, and intially I loved it. Then a month after I bought it, I went to go play a recorded lecture from one of my college courses and my lectures wouldn’t play. It had the time and name of the lecture, but it wouldnt play the audio, almost as if all of it was deleted. Not worth the money… disapointed.

I wish there was a way to listen at different speeds.
  • Nice App

I like the new developments. I wish though there was a timestamp tool and you could playback, pause, rewind a little easier. Maybe integrating the space bar? The timestamp tool is really important in a notetaking app. (Integrate it with preview)
  • DO NOT DELETE ANY NOTES

This is app is great, you can record lectures and make notes at the same time which is great for class. BUT, if you ever want to delete any of your notes, THE APP DELTES ALL NOTES IN ARCHIVE!!! This is a horrible glitch that needs fixing immediately. Beside each lecture note a delete option is available along with edit note and send note. When you press delete note you are given a verification "DO YOU WANT TO DELETE THIS REOCORD?” assuming that record is singular and only the one will be deleted. BUT ALL NOTES WILL BE DELETED if you choose yes. Unless you’re the kind of person that never cleans up your cluttered notes I suggest looking for another app to avoid this danger.
  • Very useful, just a bit confusing

This app definitely makes recording lectures and taking notes so much easier!! When it comes time to make a study guide for an upcoming test, it is very useful to be able to copy and paste notes over and relisten to the lectures. I do have some problems with it saying "You must click done to save and exit." While this may seem self-explanatory, there is no place to click done or save to be able to close the application.
