Description

Our intention is to present Camera Mirror as a very useful utility tool. Enabling users to......... *easily switch between camera mode and the flip mirror * see themselves before they go live on a FaceTime or Skype chat. ( showing what the other person is about to see) * apply makeup or shave, even squeeze zits live! * see who and what is standing behind them at all times. ( detect incoming objects before they hit you) * set up the perfect viewing angle of the camera ( tilt your screen to get it just right) * great spy tool in coffee shops (without turning around) * Re-sizable screens allowing you to use the camera while you are working on other projects. * to look at themselves all day. (designed for egomaniacs in particular) * keep screen open while you are on a conference call. *use the frameless smart frame to save valuable desktop space. * place and resize the smart frame making it an asset, not a clumsy widget.

  • WHY THE BORDERS!!

Overall, I think this app is great. Except for the annoying borders. Now, I know this app isn’t meant to be used as a face cam during a YouTube video, but it would still be pretty cool if you could add an option to remove the black borders with the red X and the paperclip. Overall I give this app a four out of five because it works flawlessly except for those annoying little borders :-) Will be really helpful if you could fix this little issue, thanks!
  • Decent, but needs a couple tweaks

I like the app for it's simplicity and functionality, but i knock it a couple stars because it lacks a couple things that make it somewhat annoying. For starters, it's a mirror program so the default mode when it opens should be mirror mode, not the camera mode. Next, it's extremely annoying that the size, location, and camera/mirror mode selection aren't 'sticky' in that every time i open the app, i have to move, resize, and then click the "mirror" switch. I wanted this to be a fast, easy mirror check that i could open and then quickly close. Having to make the same three adjustments every time i open it takes away a lot from the experience.
  • Simple App, Works Great

This is a simple app that works pretty good. Might I suggest a crop/zoom feature. That would allow a more close up view than what the wide angle camera in the iMac normally supports. It would be five stars for me then.

Can't figure out a way to support the seconday camera built into my monitor. Would much prefer that since my laptop is not always open.
  • Gladly change rating based on change, doesn't work with USB Camera

Right Now it doesn't work with different cameras. I'm using it with my elmo and projector to teach my kids in the classroom. It doesn't allow me to do so, great opportunity for business if they promote this sort of feature with the non-mirror option. Photobooth doesn't allow it!
  • All I wanted

I basically wanted a resizable Photo Booth replacement, and this basically delivered. Features that I'd like to see: 1. Invisible-toggle window borders (like in the new Quicktime Player). 2. A couple filters. Sepia and/or just straight black and white would be fine. Perhaps a blue. I'm not talking about the weird ones - just standard chromatic filters.
  • Does what it says and does it well!

Very simple, and the full screen view is just what I needed. I'm using it when doing webinars or podcasts and I want to swtich the camera on myself. I just leave this running at full screen, then command-tab over to it when I want to address the audience. Works great! Feature request: I'd like the mouse and the control icons to disappear when the mouse stops moving, to clear the screen even more. Thanks!
