Description

Evoland 2 graphics style is changing as you travel through time and its gameplay evolves as you move along the storyline. It is also a real RPG at heart, with a deep scenario based on time travel: explore different eras and change the history of the world. But are you sure that the consequences will not make things worse? Full of humor and references to classic games, the aptly named Evoland 2, A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder brings a truly epic and extraordinary adventure, unlike anything you’ve ever played before! Reviews “It’s a mashup on a grand scale — and a successful one — bringing together many of the elements that make us love all those games individually.” 9/10 – Gamesbeat “Evoland 2 manages to seamlessly blend an incredible number of genres into a single, wonderful experience.” 4/5 – Hardcoregamer “One of the best games I have played for a long time!” 10/10 – Many Steam Players

Evoland 2 is a very clever, witty game that is seriously hampered by poor attention to enjoyable gameplay. The player is often trapped in repetitive/tedious/difficult sections of the game (e.g., streetfighting, flyingshoot 'em up, the boss of the anomaly area). The keyboard mapping is very poor for the Mac version, as keyboard combinations trigger Mac OS functions that switch you to other applications -- something they would have discovered with minimal testing. Another annoyance is that the default keyboard map isn't even visible; you can re-assign keys but not see what the defaults are, leaving you to guess and stab at keys to see what they do. I also tried to contact their technical support on this issue and found absolutely no way to contact them through their website. A little bit more attention to playability would have made this a five-star game, but it comes with a lot of frustration, which could have been easily remedied with a few tweaks had they done sufficient testing.
