  • Doesn’t show footnote numbers

    I need an app to review legal documents containing footnotes, but this hides the footnote numbers and runs all the text together. In effect, there is no line or space separating the “above the line” text from the “below the line” footnotes, and the documents are a mess to read.

    I purchased Wordperfect wpd reader, installed it & tried to open quite a number of wpd documents. It did not work. I emailed the developers asking for some troubleshooting. They never responded. I wish I could get a refund.

  • Misleading page layout

    From the screenshots, you’d think that this application preserved the page layout of your documents. It doesn’t. Page breaks aren’t preserved, and nothing is where it should be.

    The features of this app is very comprehensive. It is not only can open and read WPD files but also can convert it to PDF. Just buy an app can do a lot of things about feeling with WPD files. It is amazing! Love it!!!

    Its function is complete. I can use it to open WPD files, full text search, extract images and so on. I have to say it did everything I want it to do. So, it is a commendable app and I like it!

  • Not great formatting

    I’m a writer and downloaded this so I could easily transfer stuff over from wordperfect as I just got a macbook yesterday. I attached the wordperfect file in an email and opened it with this program on my new macbook. It opened right away, I didn’t even have to tell it what program to open. However, it barely kept the formatting. I had different fonts, bolds and italics in my document and it didn’t keep any of it. The only thing it really kept where the spaces where a new paragraph would start. Of course it isn’t tabed over, but I know where it was once tabbed. If I didn’t care about all of the bolds and italics, I would have just pasted it into an email and copied it into pages.

    It’s hard to find a good wpd reader for my Mac, but I need to deal with lots of .wpd docs today. I searched some wad reader by google, but most of them have spyware. I downloaded this one because someone recommended it on Facebook. But it was the only one worth my penny. I can easily open and read my WPD files on Mac with Zoom-in, Zoom-out and more functions. And the viewing experience and editing abilities are amazing. I’ll share it with my friends on Facebook too. LOL
