I’ve been playing this game for a week now and am Abe Lincoln level. Here are my thoughts: Overall it’s a good game. I like the premise. But there’s a few places that could be improved for better game play. 1. Let us go back in levels. If we can already I can’t find out how. Right now I’m not strong enough to beat Abe. So I have to level up my rooms in my castle for 4-10 hours each time. This would be fine if I could go back levels, collect resources and keep grinding. But as of now I shut the game off and move on for a day or so and when I’m clicking through my phone I’ll reopen the app. 2. 10.00 is too much for an ads free version. You’re not getting enough resources as is popping up on the side. Right now my blood storage is 5x as much as I could get having to sit through a 30-40 second ad. I paid 5.00 for Idle Academy ad free and their resources scaled per level to make it worthwhile. I’m not paying 10.00 if all I get is 300 souls when I’m at a play I need 3k to level something. 3. The verbiage and time allowance in boss levels—You have 3:25 seconds to beat Abe Lincoln makes it sound like I JUST need to beat him. So I tried that previously, beat him and then realized I need to beat 200 other people. But my average level time is about 4-5 minutes. I gain full energy to send 12 vampires out ever 25 seconds. Despite leveling up strength and health every single time, my vampires are destroyed constantly. Especially when the priest dies. So again, now I have to spend 10 hours leveling up another room to get a .1 additional buff to my vampires. 4. There is 0 explanation on power of enemies that I can find. Why can the priest kill all my vampires in one blow? What level do I need them to get to that at least half could survive? Why do some of the barrels destroy everyone around it and sometimes only my vampires? How do I know who they can destroy? No explanation I can find on the app. 5. Poison bite. I have this on about level three or four. I still have no clarity that it works. There’s no sign of poison in the game, no animation, no effect. Nothing. How do I know it’s working? If you fixed even half of these things I’d be willing to reconsider purchasing this app as it is really fun, but if I can’t play during a 10+ hour building update because I can’t beat a level, my attention span will run out.
