  • A wonderfully done turn based tactical rpg

I have been playing this for several hours and it is a really good game. The sound is great, and the animation is well done. Each character has a skill setup that matches them fairly well. The turn based combat and the strategy of using skills at the right time gives it that old school final fantasy feel. A well done all the way around. * Update * 3-12-24 still playing have created a new game and it is still one of my favorite tablet game.

I would have given a higher rating. I love the game. But there are so many bugs and all they do is tell you they know and they are handing it over to dev. But this has been going on for years.

Well the game is being ported to steam and the Apple Arcade will cease to exist. There will be no more updates or fixes. This was one of the few games I enjoyed on Apple Arcade and now I’ll most likely discontinuing my Apple Arcade subscription.
  • Monotonous Game with Bad “AI”

    * Gameplay is not engaging * Actions are incredibly repetitive * There is very little skill involved * Enemies are frequently overpowered, wiping out your team during first or second battle on away missions (what fun!) * Enemies receive reinforcements during away missions when you cannot (that’s fair!) * When “Auto Play” is engaged during combat, it is incredibly dumb resulting in elimination of your characters due to very “silly” decisions (ex. A character’s health is near “zero,” but AI medical character heals a character that is in much better shape instead - bad programming) * No space battles so far (of all of the things to leave out of a Star Trek game!)
  • Stagnant Gacha TNG Game

The developers of this game seem to largely be knowledgable of TNG lore, less so of Discovery, and next to nothing about DS9 or Voyager. (There are characters from Enterprise, Picard and Strange New Worlds, but they don't figure into the storyline at all.) Worf looks like the TNG Worf, but sometimes acts like the DS9 Worf. He knows Odo but doesn't seem to know Martok at all. He knows Sisko, but Sisko doesn't seem to know him. I know the developers might wave their hands and say this is a time travel story, so we aren't necessarily getting the versions of these people from the prime universe, but it just feels like lazy research and writing. The character choices are sometimes weird. There are 4 versions of Picard, but no Lore or Wesley Crusher. We get Thadiun, the guy who turned out not to be Picard's son and only appeared in one episdoe of TNG, while there are other major characters (like Captain Archer) who aren't included. This is designed to be a casino type gacha game like Raid: Shadow Legends or Summoners War. Of course, a gacha game doesn't work within the Apple Arcade business model. Gacha games require third-party payment methods from impatient people who don't want to work through games, so the developers took their game over to Steam and apparently stopped adding new content here. Unfortunately, Steam is only offering the newer version for play on Windows.

Media is more and more taken up by big franchises. Corporations are pretty bad stewards of stories over time. This game is a good example of that. Soulless, generic, with only thin lip service to the genre. Every encounter is combat. There are few choices, and they’re infinitely repeatable. There’s PVP. Freemium, generic, forgettable. Another shame to the franchise with no writing or thought, and constant recycling of hollow assets

I honestly have been playing it non stop, I love Star Trek and this game is really well put. I wish there was a option to walk around the ship and see what it looks like. This has been one of the best Star Trek games so far!

Specifically in the pvp section. No way my group with 1000 power over my opponent that I lose. Time waster waiting for the cd on the tokens.
