Wish it supported relative mouse mode, currently it’s nigh impossible to use any application that needs you to drag sliders or tumble 3d view controllers

I use microsoft remote desktop on mac for many years. Perhaps starting from a version for M1 and contnues for M2, it shows bugs. Most annoying is when it stops responding to key presses and mouse clicks corretly. This happens after focus was moved to some other window and then back to opened remote session. After that, pressing a key gets converted to some other, unknown to me keys. For example, typing "l" in a terminal causes it to reset. Pressing left and right arrows jumps entire work not one char. Etc. To remedy, I have to quit remote desktop app, open and login back. Then all is fine until I have to shift focus to another window. The story repeats.
  • New Branding, but with Bugs

Windows App (formerly Remote Desktop) for Mac introduced some apparent bugs in my experience. I now get frequently disconnected randomly from active RDP sessions, with little or no reason given. Sad to see this re-branding has apparently introduced this user experience flaw…

It crashes and hangs all the time. Plus searching for the name instead of RDP for troubleshooting is a nightmare. Please rename to something else that I can find help on.

you people ruined something that was working beautifully for many years. this new RDP client disconnects every few min randomly, it crashes often. the only positive thing i can say about it is the top bar icon is not as buggy as the RDP client version (which is not saying much). please bring back the old stable working RDP client…i beg you.
  • Constantly Hangs, Sporadic issues with keyboard inputs

The previous Remote Desktop’s last iteration was far less buggy than this “upgrade”. Remote connections often hang, keyboard inputs to the remote machine are inconsistent and sometimes certain key inputs won’t be recognized at all.
  • Huge step backwards

Not even sure how anyone at MS would approve this! I’m now no longer able to modify any RDP sessions from the menu bar. Being forced to have an icon in the dock and to use the full app just to modify existing connections is ridiculous.
  • Renaming was a big mistake

Windows App is an unacceptable name, so I'm bumping my rating down from 5 stars to 2 stars. I thought this was a joke when I saw the announcement a couple of weeks ago. My users are very confused. This is not a welcome change, it is very confusing, and it will continue to be confusing forever. Might as well rename it back to Microsoft Remote Desktop now.
