this seems not to work with macs at all and has caused so many problems with my computer
  • Unintuitive, non-native UI

The sync functionality is pretty solid overally. Not flawless, but not really any worse than any other tool I've tried (in my experience). That said, the UI is a disaster. The main drop-down is a sluggish, laggy, platform-inappropriate mess. It's clearly non-native web UI, and feels awful. The actual native UI, the preferences dialog, also feels like it was built by someone with little to no prior macOS experience. Overall: functional but unappealing. Clean up the UI and this could be a real killer.

  • OneDrive for Business is a joke.

We just migrated all our data from Dropbox and Google Drive to OneDrive. The OneDrive sync client for Mac and Windows is a horrible piece of softare which simply fails to run without freezing on any operating system. Our entire business is on hold and I have no idea how to resolve this issue.
  • Needs to be improved

I use OneDrive for years (because I have to for work) and although it has gotten a lot more stable over the years, it still has some major flaws. The most annoying flaw is that sometimes it will "go rogue" and start using up the CPU doing absolutely nothing. It will continue to use the CPU doing absolutely nothing until the computer or the process is restarted.

hogs system resources, need to improve performance
  • No release notes

OneDrive is pretty good - I use it because my wife does, but I use Dropbox for files I care about. But, for over 8 months now the release notes have communicated the OneDrive's team's aspiration to deliver a good product ("We are always looking..."). When that aspiration is changed to an actual log of what's been changed, I'll update my review. For now, "we are always looking to update OneDrive..." gets a 1-star review so the people at Microsoft who know they need to write release notes can go to their manager and say, "see, we're getting one-star reviews because we're not writing release notes - people do care what changes we make".

The latest update caused me to lose all of my configuration, including synced folders from SharePoint as well as my primary OneDrive (work) directory.
