Brightness+

The original nocturne application which this is based on does not actually invert hues. Without that, night mode is not that useful if you want to keep some color.

I’m incredibly sensitive to bright white screens and haven’t found anything that does what I’d really like, which is to negate the screen easily when I need to write. This does it well, and with a pleasant, Mac-like UI that works great in Mavericks with regular or full-screen apps. Money well spent. If there was one thing I’d like to see, it’s the ability to assign a keyboard shortcut for turning night mode off and on. Otherwise, seems perfect.
