  • Potential…. But not quite there

This had the potential, or perhaps still has, to be a fun game. It desperately needs to be tuned. It kind of makes you want to delete the game when you pick the correct plays, offense has a 10% chance, for 3 plays in a row, and they march down for a touchdown. What’s the point if that is the case. Another part is the season play…. You have 8 plays to score (for example), you get to 7 and there is no option for a field goal if you are close. Or situations where you need multiple runs and all that comes up is pass plays… or my favorite… you need 10 yards on 4th and your 3 choices are under 10 yards. Makes no sense. The same when on defense, the opponent needs a first down, but picks a play that can’t possibly get them there. Disappointed is an understatement. The card collecting aspect is somewhat okay, it would be nice if you could level up your plays somehow when they are at max level. Picking cards after a game, am I the only one that always makes it to the last card as an option… seriously. As far as the seasons go…tell me how you get an objective of scoring a touchdown in 6 or less play, do so in 6 plays, and fail. Not quite sure I follow that. Hopefully this game receives updates and progresses forward.
  • Horrible compared to madden mobile

I’ve been playing madden mobile a good 10 years and playing this made madden mobile look good even though I have been getting tired of the same stuff on that side. I had hopes for this game and there still may be but many changes are needed…
  • Market research maybe?

I sent you (2K) an email long ago (years) after you lost the NFL license re: simulation games. I suggested a High School football game. More people have actually played high school football than at the college level or in the NFL. High school football is RELATABLE. All I heard back from you were crickets. Now I see that a small company is making a High School football game via Patreon contributions. I truly wish you’d listen to your customers. Nobody wants a game like this virtual card store. The other reviews confirm my position. Come on. You’re better than this.

  • RNG nightmare

This game could be really fun, but it misses the mark. There is no skill involved. Every play is RNG dependent, starting from the play selection options. Even when you choose the right play and have the right players in place to get the play success percentage in your favor, the compute still overrides it to make you fail. It’s very frustrating.

Only been playing for a couple days, I will say, this is basically a football skinned version of WWE Supercard, which is fitting as it is also made by 2K. The formula is the exact same, with a bit of PVP (possibly bots just going off the names I’ve gone against), and a season mode where based on your results you get “draft picks” which give you new players (if you pull a duplicate it auto levels up, which is a nice QOL thing), equipment to upgrade your players (pieces that can be equipped to a player is based on the players level), and even play types. The gameplay is where I am very stingy on it. Basically, a lot of calculations are made based on play types an key player overalls based on the play selected. Example: 3 plays pop up, all random, I see a short pass play which can either get me 3 yards or 0 yards. The default probability of success is 30%. The defense selected was a pass defense, which since it was correctly picked brings that probability down by 10%. Then, it takes the 3 key players on the teams that could make impacts on that play and puts their overalls against each other, and adjusts the odds based on those. If the offense overall is higher odds go up, if defense overall is higher it goes down. Then the play automatically runs, with the probability shown, if it succeeds, you gain yards, if it fails it goes for no gain or the negative yards. Then rinse and repeat. I have seen plays max out at 90% probable to complete, and those fail… I’ve seen plays minimum out at 10%, and succeed. It kind of kills the immersion, and while I get every given Sunday as much as anyone, it really isn’t fully sitting right with me. I see the game is basically in its infancy, and I do hope that it can be improved on, because I enjoy the concept of these games, and like me some football.
  • Waste of time

First off, I was not made this was a card game. What made me delete this GARBAGE game/app was the fact that during the gameplay the percentages mean absolutely NOTHING! On so many occasions I would play my cards and have a 94% chance to complete the play, on offense and defense, and I would not complete the pass or the cpu would get a 4th and long completion. Just give us a lower percentage rate then and I would be ok with that. An entire game had me get over 80% in my favor and I don’t think I made a first down one time. I deleted this game after 1 hour of plying it. WASTE OF TIME!

It's deeply disheartening to witness the erosion of gaming integrity perpetrated by certain developers. The prevalence of pay-to-win mechanics and excessive microtransactions represents a betrayal of the fundamental principles of gaming. Instead of fostering a level playing field and rewarding skill and dedication, these practices create an environment where success is determined by the size of one's wallet rather than genuine merit. This predatory monetization strategy not only tarnishes the reputation of the gaming industry but also exploits the passion and enthusiasm of gamers worldwide. It's imperative that developers prioritize ethical business practices and prioritize the enjoyment and satisfaction of their player base over short-term financial gains.
