This is unusable on Safari 17 on Sonoma. Consistenly will not unlock. Have to go to the 1password desktop app instead. I don't know if it's the above combination of software versions or the fact that I'm on an Apple Silicon mac, but rest assured this does not work as delivered.
  • 1password in safari is a mess

I literally cannot even use a password anymore. As soon as I enter my long password, 1password refreshes and then locks again. So frustrating.
  • Works only occasionally with Safari

90-95% reliability with Chrome on Mac. Works only 10% of time with Safari. Numerous other users are reporting the. same issue. Have reached out to support but have had no resoluton. Is there any solution coming?
  • Not what I hoped for

I hoped it would make retrieving passwords easier. It didn't do the job for me. I was disappointed and now have to redo my passwords.
  • Horrible interface

The interface is really bad. Doesnt work well with Apple, my mail server or Social Security logins. No customer phone support. Video tutorials are fluff. Passwords are torment of the internet and this product does not make it any easier. Setup is unclear, documentation is weak.
  • Safari integration is horrible

Seems like every version and "update" of 1Password is a step backwards. Clunky. Unintuitive.
  • Please fix this!

When the extension works, it's great. But it seems every time I wake my computer up after an extended period, the extension stops responding, i.e. it doesn't fill any fields on any website. If I go to the butotn in the Safari toolbar, it prompts me to enter my password. When I do, the icon that appears in the toolbar and field no longer has a little lock picture, which suggests the password worked. But it still doesn't fill any fields, i.e. I click on the field on the page and no response; I click on the icon in the field and no response; I click on the icon in the toolbar and it displays a pop-up with a button to open 1Password, but when I click the button, nothing happens. This has been going on for months!
  • I've been a 1Password user for over a decade, the browser extension makes the app miserable.

1Password itself is amazing, the browser extension is clunky garbage that works slowly and frequently fails to work at all. It's almost always faster to use the main app to fill passwords than it is to rely on the browser extension, which often takes ages to load after clicking a form, or doesn't load at all. They need to start from scratch and rewrite this extension, or just drop it entirely.
  • Keeps disconnecting from Mac app

1Password support will tell you to disable the Safari extension, disable browser support in the Mac app, then restart Safari and the Mac app, then re-enable everything, and that does work, but it KEEPS breaking, and I don't want to have to keep doing that. It's a huge pain. Please fix your apps, 1Password! This wasn't a problem in the last major version.
  • Almost unusable

1Password 8 is unreliable. Clicking the icon in the password text field does nothing. Sometimes pressing Command-\ does nothing. Sometimes it all works fine. There is no consistency. When signing up on a website, the app used to ask me if I want to save the new login information. Since updating to version 8, it has never asked me to save new logins. What was once my most no-brainer recommendation for an app, I now recommend people stay away. It's really sad.
