Seems to drop the connection to my network NAS every few days. Not sure why, I can see the NAS from my desktop.

Easy to use. It scanned 650 GB of flac files on a NAS drive in 2 minutes. Catalogued them and displayed the album art alond with each file. Exactly what I was looking for.
  • A gift !

Like the iOS version, the Mac version of MusicStreamer is a gift to music lovers. Ripped all my CDs to FLAC, loaded on thumb drive and plugged into my Asus router's USB port (UPnP media server enabled). In minutes, all my music available in CD audio quality (not typical streaming service mush). Can play tunes on my Mac or AirPlay (or Bluetooth) to any suitably equipped audio system in the home.

This app is really great. Not expensive and can play my NAS Drive music Collection. It is seamless solution. No more need to Pay monthly fee for Apple Music or Youtube Music. Works on Mac, iPad and iPhone really well. Keep up the good work!
  • Great Music App for Large MP3 Library

I am really enjoying this app. Having just switched from Windows to MacOS, I was looking for a substitute for Windows Media Player. After trying several apps on "Best iTunes Alternative" lists, I finally looked for an app that looked like I wanted it to look. Too many apps that I tried only show the track or album currently playing. I like being able to see many albums at one time.
  • Usable, but some frustrations

I wanted to use Musicstreamer to play audio files on an external disk, but that was very awkward (multiple steps required each time the disk was attached or disconnected). So I bit the bullet and copied 100 GB of music into my laptop. Plays fine but organization by artist is somewhat haphazard. Not clear if it's using the structure of the music folders, or trying to guess the artist from the audio files. When it displays artists, it shows, for example, three instances of J. S. Bach, even though all the associated albums are collected in one folder.

I enjoy my Music Collection so much more with this app. User friendly and very powerful! Would recommend to anyone who has a lot of music and wants it organized quickly! gk
  • No AirPlay on Mac

The Website said there would be a AirPlay icon next to the volume control. On my Mac version there is no AirPlay icon and I cannot stream to my network speakers. A total waste of money without AirPlay support for me. Maybe the iOS or Windows versions support AirPlay, but definitely not the Mac version.
  • Lacks Support for Streaming to Chromecast

Unlike the iOS version, the MacOS version can't stream to Chromecasts. Also won't scan for music outside of the /Music directory without setting up a network share.
