Digital Secure

It’s not establishing a secure connection while seriously interrupting with the connection through cellular reception. It is needed for WiFi security, not for web safety. If it jeopardizes the WiFi security, then the connection fails. A secure WiFi connection establishes a secure WiFi network. Data web safe is a meaningless jargon. And it doesn’t make the connection easier than to have a secure WiFi connection. Also the video content can’t be accessed due to a connectivity issue by two conflicting VPN servers.

I had this for at least a year to a year and a half. in the beginning it worked great,now it doesn’t even do the thing I got it for(identity protection)it just refuses to load but other than that the vpn is fantastic.

Not very good and not developed properly because it always turns itself off at any point

This app will not load at all. It used to work perfectly but since the upgrade I get the message let’s try that again. I need to get into this app as I think it’s firewall is impacting my ability to get WiFi on my home computer.

It works great, only problem is I no longer need it, but I can’t remove if from my billing because it says it’s a purchase by other vendor ?

I won’t waste any time. My main complaint is the way the VPN works and how it’s designed. It does its job as a VPN when turned on properly, but for an average user it’s nearly impossible to set it up. When you set up the app for the first time, it is highly recommended that you set up a VPN. To do so, it redirects you to your iPhone settings app, asks for your passcode, and installs the VPN. (Or two, rather, but we’ll get to that.) Afterwards it’s a nightmare to set up from the perspective of a non-tech-savvy individual. When you connect to a public network, you may or may not get a notification on your phone saying your “wi-fi isn’t safe” so you need to connect to a VPN. (I say “may not” because that notification solely depends on whether or not the app was recently opened. Very user friendly indeed.) Doing so requires that in your settings app, you have “safe wi-fi” (NOT safe web, the second VPN the app installs) checked off and NOT turned on in the VPN settings section. Afterwards, then you may go in the app and attempt to turn it on then, but even then it may not work. I’ve attempted to use the “reinstall VPN” feature but I’m met with an error message every time, so I sent data logs to McAfee, the company behind the digital secure app, hoping someone from their team will fix these problems, but where I’ve been dealing with this for years, I feel like even this review will fall on deaf ears. Verizon is expensive. That I’m sure we can all agree. I would like a quality service from their suite along with it. They’re a 165 billion dollar company, I believe they have the funds to spare for the maintenance of these apps.

Digital Secure has never worked for my family. We receive a zip file that will not open. I have gone into the store and asked for help and have been told to just keep trying. I have left many emails to Verizon about this problem and they have all gone unansweredtoday I will spend the next two hours trying to get this figured out with Verizon on the phone I do not recommend

This app has been terrible for years and it just keeps getting worse. Since I got an IPhone over a year ago and I have Verizon mobile protect I have never had the full features even though I am supposed to. I have called several times and they will fix it and several hours later it will go back to the free version. Even when I had everything on my old phone it was useless though and I ended up needing a separate VPN and antivirus and malware app. It astounds me that it can be this dysfunctional after being around for years and even more so that it is so problematic for Verizon to get their own app to work consistently on people’s phones that are their customers. Verizon’s level of customer service has tanked in the last few years.

The main use besides the vpn is being able to see your breached data that’s exposed and that function is not functioning. Every time you click it to open you get an error message saying there was an error on their end

I decided to try this so I could have more security on my devices. Unfortunately, it was malfunctioning from the beginning & quite difficult to uninstall; especially from my Macbook Air. Therefore, would not recommend this app.
