Description

If copy & paste is a part of your workflow, Pastebot is an indispensible tool to improve your productivity. Quickly recall clippings that you have copied before and apply powerful text filters to format before pasting. You can even queue up multiple copies to paste in sequence. Pastebot is always running and only a keyboard shortcut away to command copy & paste. Clipboard History: Pastebot saves everything you copy so that you can quickly recall them in the future. Save and organize frequently-used clippings into custom pasteboards and create keyboard shortcuts to access pasteboards and paste specific clippings. Powerful Filters: Build powerful filters with a live preview and apply them as you paste. Create keyboard shortcuts to quickly paste using your filters and export your filters to share with other Pastebot users. Quick Paste Menu: Pastebot is there when you need it and invisible when you don’t. Quickly access your clippings from any app and search, preview, or filter clippings before pasting. You can even set the order of clippings to paste in sequence. iCloud Sync: With iCloud enabled, your main clipboard, custom pasteboards and filters sync across all of your computers running Pastebot. Your clipboard and filters will be on every mac you work on. Custom Pasteboards: Create custom pasteboard groups to organize important clippings you want to save and re-use. Assign keyboard shortcuts to clippings you use most often. Works with Universal Clipboard: macOS Sierra’s Universal Clipboard works alongside Pastebot. Copy a clipping in Pastebot and paste it on your iOS device via Universal Clipboard. Full Screen Support: Pastebot works in full-screen and split-screen mode. Running in split-screen mode allows you to use Pastebot as a scratch pad. Options: Choose from various quick paste window styles to suit your preferences, always paste in plain text, enable release-to-paste and more. Blacklist: There are apps you copy from that you never want stored in Pastebot. Just add that application to the blacklist and Pastebot will ignore it. Search: Find a clipping quickly with Pastebot’s powerful search capabilities. Search based on content or metadata. You can search by application, date, data type and more. Keyboard Shortcuts: Pastebot features many keyboard shortcuts to satisfy any copy & paste maestro. Paste the previous item on the clipboard or paste the current clipping while applying the last used filter.

  • Continues to be the best clipboard manager

I've use many clipboard manager apps. I've used more advanced automation apps that can also provide clipboard and text filtering functions. I currently have at least 4 other apps that do clipboard management and/or text filtering, but they don't do what Pastebot does with ease or speed, so Pastebot keeps finding a place on my system. Its text filters are easier to use than alternatives. And Sequential Paste lets me copy mulitiple bits of text quickly then paste each one individually (e.g., into individual fields/cells). Or I can just quickly grab one of the last 100 things I copied to the clipboard when I find I need it again. I'm so glad Tapbots has updated Pastebot for years since I find I rely it year after year.
  • Absolutely indispensible. Should be built in to Macs!

I have used Pastebot every single day for YEARS. Not only does it make it easy to paste multiple items at once when I need that, but I love that it gives me a quick option to paste without formatting just by holding shift. And having the ability to see a list of what you recently pasted and grab items from there instead of having to go back to the source is a game changer. Such a great app, just get it!!

So glad I found Pastebot. I wanted an easy to use and affordable clipboard management app. The pasteboards and filters are super handy. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

This utility used to be absolutely awesome, and I've used it for years. However, now the app continually crashes. I emailed support trying to resolve the issue but all I received in response was "Thanks for the bug report". Looking for an alternative.
  • Buggy

What seemed like a promising interface turned out to be kind of buggy. For example you cannot run a filter automatically. You have to go to each individual clip and filter it in a series of steps. Filtering only seems to work consistently from the Clipboard HUD and not the Pastebot main window.

Support for this is terrible. I have an issue. when I select an item from pastebot, it doesn't automatically paste it in. So I emailed the team for support -- More than a week passed, nothing. Asked for icloud support, It took them nearly a month to reply.

I'm a engineering book writer in Korea, and this app save my life. Thanks for this app, I don't have to copy and paste all codes or images one by one. I can just copy codes from my project as much as I want, and I can choose LATER which one I'm gonna paste! It makes my life so much easier!
  • When copying, can sound prompts be added?

It does exactly what you want a clipboard app to do: saves multiple pastes, has searchability, gets out of the way when you don't want to see it and has a nice UI when you do. Sequential paste works great and comes in super handy. What more can you ask for?

Great little app...but then it has disappeared on my Macbook Air; simple won't open. Produces an error message, "The application “Pastebot” is not open anymore." Huh?
