Description

This app uses the barometric pressure sensor built into all newer iPhones and iPads and features a Barometer for weather, an Altimeter for outdoor activities and a History feature with CSV export to track air pressure. No ads, no internet connection, no trackers! Runs on your device only! Keep an eye on the barometric pressure and be your own weather forecast! This little app uses only GPS (optional) and the barometric pressure sensor to calculate the barometric pressure used in weather forecasts. iPhones and iPads have a barometric pressure sensor built in so this app works completely without internet. The handy marker helps you keep track of changes in the barometric pressure and lets you predict weather changes! Air pressure and its change over time is a very good indicator for weather! The History allows you to store pressure values over time and compare. With a single click you can export it all as a CSV file. The Altimeter helps you track your altitude changes based on the change of pressure. Just set your reference pressure and altitude in order to use the Altimeter for checking how high up the mountain you have climbed (works for other activities too). Most users will simply rely on GPS for altitude information but GPS does use a good bit of energy, so this app does not rely on GPS for the Altimeter and can help you gain an estimate, even with GPS disabled (by default the App does use GPS for calibration, configurable). Features - Barometer for weather. - Altimeter for height estimations. - No internet connection required since the sensor is built into iPhones and iPads. - No ads! No data collection beyond your device (history and settings). No web communication at all. - Data export in CSV Format. - Supports 6 selectable units for air pressure hPa/mBar, inHg, mmgHg/torr, atm, psi, kPa. - Support for 2 different altitude units, meters and feet. - Marker and History so you can track changes in barometric pressure - Manual altitude setting or automatic altitude updates based on GPS for the Barometer. - GPS Correction. In case your GPS seems to always be 'off' a little you can now fix this easily.

I used to use this app to be able to track my pressure related migraines. It was the only app I could find that would show you pressure history in the form of a graph. Super bummed that the feature went away. It was very useful to me for many years. Hopefully it can be brought back.

Thank you, Developer, for all the effort and attention that went into the creation of this tool. I’ve watched as the UI has become slicker and the values are more intuitive now. I’ve benefited greatly from your efforts!
  • No more graph and history?

The latest version omits the graph and all historical readings. I hope that come back, otherwise I’ll have to find another app. Seeing the trend over time is helpful for a lot of reasons. Latest version just shows current conditions. Before you could look at multiple time periods in a graph to see rate of rise/fall over time.
  • 2024 update ruined the app

I used to love this app. It was so simple and the automatic charting of pressure changes and ability to view trends over different time increments up to 30 days was extremely helpful. I get severe joint pain and migraines with big pressure changes, and this app used to help me stay ahead painful flares and track trends. They pushed an update in spring 2024 that took away the charts. Now you have to manually log the pressure and it just shows up in a list. Not helpful. Deleting this app and finding something else.

The update doesn’t have a graph anymore. I am very sensitive to changes in the barometric pressure. Can you add that back pleas?

Don’t like does not adjust to altitude correctly. Likes the old style better. Going to delete app.
  • Update Ruined This App!

Adding my voice - I have used this tracker nearly daily for years to track pressure changes and my nerve pain. The graph view the I could set anywhere from 6 hrs to 30 days was priceless and extremely helpful in monitoring my triggers and when my pain was ramping up and when I was finding relief. That’s all gone now! Looking at a current barometer image is useless. I tried saving a couple “markers” thinking that would provide a graph display. Nope. Just lists numbers. That is not helpful. The visual display was way more useful and much much easier for quick reference. I’ll sadly be deleting this one and looking for something new to meet my needs. WHY??
  • No more history chart

The only reason I used this is to track barometric pressure history and my chronic pain. The app was great as it was, now there is no chart and the graphics are atrocious. Wish I could delete this last update and keep the past version.
  • Update has destroyed this app!

I’ve had and used this app for years! I have chronic migraines and one of my biggest triggers is change in barometric pressure. There are other ways to predict the changes, but with this app I had an amazing graph that I could set at intervals from 24 hrs to 30 days to correlate when I first noticed a migraine coming on, when I had a particularly severe migraine, when I had a migraine that lasted more than 24 hours, etc. Being able to look back at these graphs and put them together with other variables that I know affect my migraines has helped me so much with my migraine care. With the update, however, the graphing feature has disappeared. In fact, the app only marks the pressure if you actually go into the app and mark it. It’s useless.

The last update, ruined appearance and functionality. As many others have said, bring back the old app.
