  • Enjoy it but wish I didnt have to buy it again for the ipad

    I love using this to do my writing but often due to my ipad having internet at all times I tend to take that instead to write when im out. I guess I should have purchased this on there rather than my macbook. I wish I didnt have to buy this app twice just to be able to sync it across my devices. Its the one thing keeping my from rating it 5\

    I decided to try this because it's integrated across, Mac & iOS - I have been using Highland2, which is great. but for now is only mac. iWriter Pro, has a super clean interface, All the features I need (except a couple things which I will mention) and works seamlessly w iCloud and across devices. I'm very glad I spent the money. ASKS - Dev friends. When I'm writing (currently on a 100 ish page book) I like to leave comments I can return to. Can the 'comment' feature show in the list of headings (as an option) AND, I'm not sure if 'tasks' are intended as making checklists in a readable document, or as a tool for a writer to get stuff done... I would love a way to invisably (to the reader) add to do's in my document. Thanks again - great stuff

    Working with this app during the night is a pain because there doesn't seem to be a dark mode. It does have a "Night" theme, but the window borders don't become dark, just the editor. Request the developer to create a true a dark mode for this app and provide more font options for the preview (also for document exports), and I can increase the rating to 5.

    better typewriter mode than iawriter (doesn't redraw the screen below the cursor every newline), stripped down to just what I need (although a second document pane would be nice). I love the outline, I love the word count, I love the word count when text is selected. It's simple, fast, minimal, and awesome. Plus autosave so you don't have to think about it. Don't be put off by no free trial, it's simple, fast, but not so simple it's not useful.

    Very minimal, clean, and much cheaper than iA Writer for the same features more fonts. Also good to see this app is actively maintained (as of this review). Many other markdown editors have been long abandoned.

  • Latex problem , indention problem

    - bug: Latex rendering is too blur on my computer , hardly to distinguish each character - bug: disaster to make nested list indentions , the cursor jumps unreasonable , cursor / dash line / really type position ,none is make sense . I'll never open this app before new version is released - imporove : suggest to offer a demo trial version - wish but not really important : I know its a MD editor , but still wish to offer a embeded database to store pasted images.

    I am searching for a replacement for my ancient markdown editor, without updates for almost 4 years. I think iWriter Pro is the one that I'll settle on. Why only 4 stars? I can't load images without putting both the file and the image under the iWriter directory and that needn't be under MacOS. I'm glad no data is collected and I'm super happy about Mermaid support. But I want my images!
