Description

CHOOSE YOUR OWN SAFEST PLACE TO STORE PASSWORDS & PASSKEYS Enpass believes your data belongs to you. Instead of keeping everyone’s passwords on a central server like most password managers, with Enpass YOU choose where your encrypted vaults are stored and synced. ● Enpass works with iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, Dropbox, NextCloud, WebDAV, or completely offline. ● And with support for storing and syncing passkeys across devices, Enpass is ready for the password-less future. WHY ENPASS IS SAFER ● Most password managers store every user’s vaults in their own central server, making a tempting single target for hackers But with Enpass, hackers would have to - Target you personally - Know which cloud services you’ve chosen for your vaults - Have the credentials to those cloud accounts - Get past each account's multi-factor authentication - And know your Enpass master password ● Enpass also includes password audit & breach monitoring — user-friendly tools to help keep you safe WHY ENPASS IS BETTER ● Store and sync passkeys — ready for the password-less future ● Unlimited vaults — completely separate work passwords from personal, and more ● Wildly customizable — make your own templates, categories, and tags to organize your credentials and private files ● Share individual vaults — with a parter or project team; help manage passwords for kids or elderly relatives ● Customize each Item — add, remove, and rearrange fields, or make your own (even multi-line fields) ● Customizable browser extension — make auto-fill and auto-save work the way YOU like, and make your own keyboard shortcuts ● Customizable password generator — tweak up to 10 parameters when creating strong new passwords ● Attachments — include documents and images with your saved credentials ● Built-in authenticator (TOTP) — no need for a separate app to get those 6-digit codes AND ENPASS IS AFFORDABLE ● Enpass desktop is FREE for individual users (mobile syncs up to 25 items for free) ● Enpass Premium starts at just $1.99/mo, Enpass Family at $2.99/mo ● Enpass Business starts at $2.99/user/mo (or $9.99/mo flat for small teams) ● Visit enpass.io/pricing for more details. ** ENPASS IS ALSO BETTER FOR BUSINESS ● Decentralized storage & sync makes Enpass compliance-friendly ● Powerful security and recovery tools, and one-click sharing for teams ● Automatic provisioning and offboarding ENPASS IS EVERYWHERE ● Enpass works across Mac, iOS, watchOS, and all major browsers and operating systems SECURITY ● Zero-knowledge AES-256 encryption on 100% of user data ● Certified compliance with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards ● Quick unlock with Face ID or Touch ID ● Quick unlock with a PIN ● Unlock with a keyfile as second-factor authentication CONVENIENCE ● Auto-fills passwords, authentication codes, credit cards, and webforms ● Auto-saves new or changed credentials ● Stores and syncs passkeys across devices ● Syncs via your personal cloud accounts or via Wi-Fi PASSWORD SAFETY ● Highly customizable password generator ● Automatically checks for weak or compromised passwords ● Automatically monitors for website breaches ● Retains password history for each Item ●  Automatic backups USABILITY ● watchOS integration ● Extensions for Safari, Firefox and all Chromium-based browsers ● Easy import from other password managers and CSVs ● Customize tags, categories, fields, and more ● File attachments (add ID cards & other documents to items) ● Copy to Clipboard ● Dark Mode ** Premium subscription can be purchased at enpass.io/pricing or through your mobile device’s app store. ● Terms of Use: https://www.enpass.io/legal/terms ● Privacy Policy: https://www.enpass.io/legal/privacy ENPASS SUPPORT Email: [email protected] Twitter: @EnpassApp Facebook: Facebook.com/EnpassApp Forums: https://discussion.enpass.io

  • Registration is Annoying

I'm a paid customer. I hate registering every device. I hate that registration "expires" over a period of time on all my devices. And no, I don't want a response from the developer and no, I'm not going to contact support. This is an ongoing, recurring issue across ALL my devices and contacting support will and could not possibly resolve the issue. This is a DESIGN problem, not some user error. If your "developer" response would be anything other than "We'll look into it," don't even bother. I've had session expirations on Mac, Linux, Windows, iPhone, and iPad, so don't even try telling me this is anything other than a designed "feature" or bug. I ain't buying it. At least 1password (before they decided to completely screw over their customers) gave me a key file that could be stored within my vault and thus unlocking the vault unlocked registration as well. That doesn't really seem like all that complicated of a thing. You could even encrypt or encode it directly into your database in a way that users don't see so we can't mess with it. You _could_... but instead you make us jump through all the hoops in the circus of registration you have set up. It's irritating in the extreme.

Enpass is the ticket. Buy the lifetime license. Im hoping they keep adding more features like other password managers have. Still.. it works great and its my app of choice for this category. Support them long as they keep the lifetime license online!

Enpass used to be a very good password manager and the one I used for many years. Unfortunately, it seems that the team doesn't have the resources to keep up with O/S changes. Most recently, there are lots of problems under macOS Sonoma, like the app randomly terminating during sleep, the browser extension "not finding" the app (so it has to be disabled and re-enabled every day); no support for passkeys. It's a shame when you see a favorite app fall behind. I have been active on the Enpass discussion group (forum) but most threads do not get active responses from the Enpass team: they are more or less a placebo.
  • Support Ignores EVERY message

Update: My last review they apologized here and told to email them back -- I did and they still never respond (nothing is in the junk mail folder). I've contacted support via email and their website form multiple times over 6 months, asking basic pre-purchase questions. A support ticket used to be automatically assigned, but not with my last email. No one ever answers. You'll find similar complaints in their forums. The software looks nice, but the company seems like vapor.
  • This used to be good, but right now it's broken garbage

For about a month, possibly longer, enpass is crashing regularly, requiring me to manually re-open it every time I want to fill out a password in my browser. If this continues much longer, I'll be moving on. BitWarden wasn't quite as feature-rich as enpass last time I tried it out, but a stable application is far preferable to this buggy mess.
  • Has become unstable and crashes hourly

I've used Enpass for years, but over the past six months or so it has become so unstable, expecially on Venture, that it crashes almost hourly. Sometimes the only way to get it to launch is to log out and log back into my account, which should never happen. I just don't know how this thing got through beta testing. The browser extensions for Vivaldi, Firefox, and Safari are so unstable and don't work about 50% of the time. I'm so tired of having to report these things to developsers who do nothing but issue a smarmy apology. I honestly don't think devs test their products these days. I'm searching for anothe password manager becuase I'm losing so much productivity to this one. Enough is enough. (In the time it took to write this review Enpass locked up YET AGAIN while simply being idle on the desktop and I had to restart my iMac. I'm done.)

I have not received an update since I purchased it. I’m on version 6.0.1. I tried their online support several times asking about this but never received a response. My question is: Can I update through the Apple Mac Store without messing up the license? Also, in the app, there’s option to upgrade to the Pro version to be able to Add new categories. How will this affect my license?

Tired of reauthenticating every few days or so. Am I the only one with this issue? Is this a known bug? I have been having this issue with the Mac app for at least a couple years now.
