Description

Your favorite iOS concordance is now available on the Mac App Store! Strong's Concordance, is a concordance of the King James Bible (KJV) that was constructed under the direction of Dr. James Strong (1822–1894) and first published in 1890. A concordance lets the reader directly compare how the same word may be used elsewhere in the Bible. In this way Strong's Notes provides an independent check against translations, and offers an opportunity for greater, and more technically accurate understanding of the Bible text. All information is downloaded to your computer. No internet necessary once installed. We hope you find this app useful. Please email your comments and suggestions to [email protected].

App has a ton of potential if it ever got updated or if the support email was actually valid. There is no support, so what you see is a very basic concordance. No forward or back functionality, which menans if you click on a reference scripture connected to the word you clicked, that is where you're stuck unless you manually select your original scripture again. No pop up with the reference scripture (what it shows in sample images) or separate window for that reference. You have to do that every. single. time. It's not user friendly for research or studying becuase its super frustrating to use with the archaic functionality. Disappointed that i can't use it but i hope it gets better soon.

I used this Strong’s Concordance for years with no problems and I loved using it, but when I upgraded my system to OS X El Capitan the program will not work correctly and I can not dp word search or look up words. I have tride to updat the program but the little gearwheel just continues to go in circles and it will not upgrade. I tried sendting an e-mail to the company but never received a response.

I have the current version for the Mac Powerbook and find it sn excellsnt tool for my historical studies of the Bible but there are two features I hope some new version may address. 1. I hope Orion Systems will add the ability to book mark a page or even a verse and 2. The ability to set font size so that when one opens it it is set for that new size.

this app is wonderful. When you click on a word it gives you the meaning and then shows you the same as or what the root word it was taken from. Most Strongs out there dont do this. It shows you the strongs number and says the same as or root but then you have to go look up that word and it takes forever. This is one of my favorite apps. I highly recommend this. I seen a couple of bad reviews and cant understand why? If your not satisfied with this app then you dont know how to use it.

It’s a great app for what it offers, but the user-customizable settings (fonts, colors, etc.) do not persist across launches. In odther words, you’ll have to manually set the font sizes, colors, etc. every time you launch this app. The developer doesn’t seem to want to respond to support requests. I’ve requested a refund.
  • Follow-up To My Followup - of March 22, 2014 Review of This App

In my original followup, I expressed concern regarding the Word search feature of this application. It appeared it was not picking up all the verses containing the word being searched for. This was a result of comparing total verse count by this app, for a given word, to the total verse count in a Hendrickson Hard Bound Paper version of Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance. Looking into this a little futhur, I noticed that the Hendrickson version of Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance was listing the searched word by occurance, rather than by verse count only - thus the reason for the discrepancy. The good news - the Word Search feature on this app is working accurately and is perfectly fine. My apologies, for causing any concern!

I am SO jazzed that this is in the Mac App Store. :D I used this app on my iPad all the time for bible study and it's even better on the huge screen of my iMac on my desk. All the information you need is right there. Orion Systems, you also you get a big 5th star for including a night mode. So many overlook this because many study at night. :) SO Jazzed.
  • Red Text Missing

All Holy Bibles especially concordance should have Jesus Yeshua words in red to help the reader determine when their Lord speaks. I'm very disapointed to have bought it and then discovered it not having highlighted Jesus Yeshua text in red nor even the option. I pray they fix it fast! In Jesus name.
