This is a great way to encourage a struggling writer. I am glad I found this app.

Watching my son write letters and getting excited is so great. The app is excellent at teaching him his letters. The profile asks for his name. I wish it had the ability to teach him to write name all at once instead of only one letter at a time. If that happens, it would be 5 stars for sure.
  • Avoid! Not as advertized!

App does not have flash cards, no cross word. Only letter tracing mode. Ads are everywhere in this PAID app for KIDS. I have purchase restrictions on, and the app will put up a system warning to turn off restrictions every time. It is run, followed by ads before the app runs. Absolutely horrible.

My 2 year old loves this app. He asks to play it every day. It's great at helping him recognize and write letters. It even gives positive feedback based on the accuracy of the letters. My son gets really excited when he gets 3 stars. The only issue is the placement of some the buttons at the bottom of the screen that my son accidentally hits sometimes and he has to start over.

This is a neat app, one that any parent or teacher should have loaded on their iPad. It makes a game out of learning to write the alphabet. The animations and music are fun and enjoyable and the art is very child oriented. Super app for any future teacher, gives some nice ideas on how to teach them in the classroom!

We were excited about the graphics, the progress chart (oh my) and the left hand option (now I'm sold)! And then we started using it... The arrows to retry and navigate are on the bottom of the screen which are constantly being hit by tiny palms. This causes mass confusion when she wasn't done with the letter. Or even worse doubt. Especially, when she has mastered the sample and is doing it on her own and the voice says, "Try again" when the retry button is accidentally touched. She looks up at me discouraged. I will say that contrary to the other review, the form wasn't as sensitive as many others we've tried. Please, please rethink the button placement. A number add-on would be great! As well as an option to practice their name (now I'm just getting greedy).

This has the potential to be a great app. Unfortunately, there's room for improvement. The sensitivity on being near the lines is too strong. My son struggles with every single letter! I don't recommend this to children who get frustrated easily. My son has autism and I was hoping to help him with his letters. We're going to keep looking for another app because this only frustrated him and made him mad. We'll consider it again in the future if the sensitivity improves. Making the child start over because they barely touch the line, over and over and over again is not my idea of fun.
  • Different letter formations

Thanks for fixing the letter formations on this app with the last update! It is great now. The formations actually match the handwriting program that I use as a teacher!! This app has a great concept, but the letter formations are different than what is taught in the K-6 handwriting program in my district. I deleted it because I don't want my own children or my kindergarten students practicing different strokes than what is being taught. If the app allowed you to choose from a variety of strokes or handwriting methods, it would be awesome!

My son is your average 3 and a half year old. Any time he tries to trace the letters he fails because the sensitivity is too high. Ease up. Even as an adult with great finger control, I can have difficulty tracing the letters.
