Description

Learning to write begins with learning to draw letters. Through this application, kids will discover how to draw letter, and will be able to practice copying the letter's drawing. A letter drawing algorithm will indicate where mistakes were made and offer rewards if none were made (only on iPad). 2 additional mini games will extend kids experimentations with the alphabet while having fun. The first 7 letters are free. This game is part of your "Learning is fun" educational game collection. • Discouraging to kids

We tried this app as a supplement to my 9yros cursive curriculum. First, the cursive used is unlike any of the traditional or contemporary styles I've seen available in cursive curriculum. Secondly, the write must have their line follow the example precisely. If the students line strays ever so slightly it is marked with an x. This is incredibly discouraging to beginning writers. Lastly, as an adult with pretty good cursive (I was taught by nuns)I found it almost impossible to get my line to match that of the example precisely. You would be better off having your child use one of the doodling apps to trace letters you make. don't waste your time or money on this app.

Deleting this app after the 1st use- you can't have a writing app that teaches incorrect letter formation! The 'a' isn't even close. Also failed to mention that only the first 7 letters of the alphabet are included. All other letters are locked and require purchase of full version. Not gonna happen.
  • Idea is cute but can't use this app!

I just tried two cursive letters...a and b. the formation is not how it's taught in school. Based on these two letters, I will not look into this app further.
