Press the play button and you will hear the sound of how to pronounce the sentence in Hmong. You will also see the way to pronounce it. Surprise your friends the next time you see them with your new language skills! You can practice learning how to speak basic Hmong! This app works on the iPod, iPhone, and iPad! This app is also geared toward beginners who want to learn Hmong.     I got this app to help my boyfriend learn hmong because he grew up not knowing how to speak it. I am not as fluent but speak a bit stiff. This really help us learn and look forward to more improvements. It would be nice to have the hmong folktales and backgrounds etc…

    Thanks for your hard work, it’s clear you put in a lot of effort. My parents never taught me hmong so finally it’s about time I try to learn the basics. Please continue to update and add the Hmong green vocabulary versions and eventually of course it would be great to have the audios! Both my parents speak green so I really want to learn that dialect over anything. Thanks!!

  • Could use improvements

    A few things I would love to see updated is a Home Screen instead of tabs for navigation. For the flashcards, it should be more user friendly for kids. My four year old can’t read yet, so she doesn’t know how to get to the flashcards and which category to pick. A simple picture of an animal will help. The colors is confusing because the actual color is not shown on top. Maybe separating Hmong green and white into different settings so the user can only learn one dialect versus having two choices. Though it’s probably a more difficult request, showing a video of a person’s mouth speaking will help learn. Thanks for the app!
