Description

Strava makes fitness tracking social. We house your entire active journey in one spot – and you get to share it with friends. Here’s how: • Record everything – runs, rides, hikes, yoga and over 30 other sport types. Think of Strava as the homebase of your movement. • Discover anywhere – our Routes tool uses de-identified Strava data to intelligently recommend popular routes based on your preferences. You can also build your own. • Build a support network – Strava’s about celebrating movement. Here you’ll find your community and cheer each other on. • Train smarter – get data insights to understand your progress and see how you improve. Your Training Log is the record of all your workouts. • Move safer – share your real-time location with loved ones while outdoors for an extra layer of safety. • Sync your favorite apps and devices – Strava is compatible with thousands of them (Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin – you name it). • Join and create challenges – join millions in monthly challenges to chase new goals, collect digital badges and stay accountable. • Embrace the unfiltered – your feed on Strava is filled with real efforts from real people. That’s how we motivate each other. • Whether you’re a world-class athlete or a total beginner, you belong here. Just record and go. Strava includes both a free version and a subscription version with premium features. Strava uses HealthKit to export your Strava activities into the Health app and to read heart rate and biometric data. You can subscribe and pay on the App Store, using your Apple ID. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renew may be turned off after purchase by going to the ‘Manage Subscription’ page in settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The subscription will renew at the same cost. Why does the activity record never match the total time of the workout?? I clocked in an hour and 30 mins and after processing it only came out as 1 hour? It’s always like that. Also, where’s stair climbing? Skipping rope? Quad skating?
  • Not a good app and hard to use.

This app is definitely not intuitive. I used it for my mountain bike ride everyday, but it does very little. I guess they just want you to buy the paid version, but who would pay for something that is so difficult to use? I can finally start the Mountain bike feature, and my friends can give me kudos, but I can’t give kudos to them, even though it says your friend did this and “it deserves a kudo.” Now I want just a pedometer so I can get ready for a hiking and biking trip, but I can’t just poke walk and then start, like I do on my Apple Watch for bike riding. In fact my phone app didn’t even have that as an activity. I had to search to find it. Then I hit start and it switches to Mountain Bike. I finally felt like it was recording, but after walking more than 5 miles, it disappeared and seems gone forever. When I got home, I Googled for a solution and you would not believe the number of people adversely affected. I looked up a couple and the answers were ridiculous! Things like go on line, hello computer, and login to your account and Why? Why not just hit support in the app? Because you can’t! Back to the computer and it says you have to find walk and “add it as an activity.” Huh? Other problems that may have been mine were listed like “how to move a record to the correct activity that has been misplaced“ Sounds like it could have happened, but how do you know where it went when you’ve already been looking for it and even search can’t find it. Good luck with that you sorry bastard. Forget about the reviews. Just Google Strava problem and add anything and there are plenty of people looking for answers. Try how do I record a walk? Where did my walk go? Those are the real reviews. If you have just one sport, you can get away with it.but every sport is a new learning curve to get time, distance and speed. I have to wear my Apple Watch on my right hand because it accidentally creates workouts all on its own. Take a shower and check your non-existent swim. Look down at your watch and be surprised to find you just did an outdoor run of 80 feet in only a half hour. Even your friends don’t give you kudos for that accidental run. They must die laughing.

  • FATMAP issues!

Please someone tell me how to contact the developers of FATMAP who say they are now joining this app. I just paid for a year subscription in May and it says on their website that our previous adventures in the app can be moved to Strava. But I cannot log in. It says my account doesn’t exist meanwhile I have 8gb’s of data in the app that is still on my phone even though the app is not in the AppStore anymore. There is no contact information anywhere. Those adventure trackings were very important to me and I cannot access them even though they are on my phone. I should most certainly be refunded if I cannot get them back after I just paid for a year just two months ago.

  • Strava openly supports cheating

Over the past 7 years, Strava has greatly helped me improve my mtn-bike fitness and trail speed, with numerous KOMs and Top 10s to show. However, after recently flagging a trail cheater and providing clear evidence using Strava's tools, Strava supported the cheater despite obvious data showing the rider bypassed nearly 25% a trail on a road. Strava's algorithm and employees refused to acknowledge the flag, effectively ignoring their own tools (and customer) for someone that doesn’t even subscribe. Why put in such effort only to be "beaten" by cheaters, especially when Strava supports the cheat? I’m happy losing fairly, but when blatant cheating is endorsed by Strava's own tools and staff, why support them. Big-bye. Sorry to have wasted so much money here...

This is a really awesome app! I love how I'm finally able to track my swimming, running, biking, etc.! My one complaint: I once did a triathlon, but I was very disappointed that I couldn't but it under a "triathlon" category. That's all, though. Thank you for making this!!!

I wish users could edit comments. Once you write something, I have seen that you correct spelling, grammar, etc. or even completely delete. That option would make Strava better.

Downloaded the app, the first thing that caught my eye was the Routes functionality. I quickly learned that this was a paid feature. Really? You’re going to charge me to see routes? No thanks, I’ll stick with Nike Run Club. NRC doesn’t have routes, but that’s okay because I run my own. What value do your routes add? Paywalls should be in front of value, not the discovery of it. I don’t even know what the feature is and you want me to sign up for a subscription.
