How much money are you gaining by putting the barcode scanner behind the paywall? Also please don’t respond that “As a member type can still log food by searching the database……blah blah blah! People want to use the barcode scanner like they have for years!!! Listen to your customers!
  • Beware of auto-renew

    By Cocolottafuss
Company doesn’t send out an auto-renewal email before charging.
  • Disappointed

I use to love this app, and now with the upgrade you can no longer use the scanner. That was one of the best features. Very disappointed.
  • Gone Downhill

I’ve been using MFP for over 10 years now. When the barcode scanning was part of the free subscription, it worked great. I could scan anything and it would be found. I decided to do a free trial of premium because I thought I would pay for the year. Now, a lot of common brands are not findable via scanning. But if I search it, it’s there. The scanning feature is what I mostly want, and it doesn’t even work properly. I cannot recommend the app at this point, and will probably just uninstall 👎🏼
  • Only here for the micros

Not as great as it used to be. Customization on serving sizes were a lot better.
  • Making a meal

    By Packard123456789101112131415
The making your own meal part of this app is ridiculous and super glitchy. I’ve tried to make a meal 5 different times and it won’t save it or log it correctly. Super frustrating.
  • Completely worthless

The changes the app has made over time have resulted in a once useful app becoming worthless unless you spend an exorbitant amount for a subscription. There are better options.
  • Do something, I’m giving up on you

Don’t get me wrong, I love my fitness pal and I’m using it daily for almost four years. In December I upgraded from an iPhone 6s to an iphone 11promax. Since the upgrade each time I open My fitness pal I should wait a long time for app to update and let me input my data. We have bad internet in Iran and due to our totalitarian government we have to use different kind of vpn apps. I think the problem with updating for such a long time is that My fitness pal servers get confused because of my online location change, which is inevitable for me. But let’s be reasonable is it so important for a diet and fitness app to be sensitive about my online location change?! And why does it need to update each time I open and close the app? Can’t it be synchronized one or two time in a 24 hours and let me be?! We are not as lucky as most people of the world, but we are trying! Please consider my comments. I love this app and it helped me a lot and I still trying to fix the problem myself somehow, but there is a limit. Thank you for your time.
  • Raising Prices and Gatekeeping

I’ve been using this app for years for free, but they’ve recently removed the barcode scan option for free use. So if you want to use that feature you have to pay $80 for a year subscription. Super annoyed.
  • Keeps pushing you to pay

The app used to be great, but now every time I open it it keeps pushing me with pop ups to pay for premium.
