I get it is do what an amazing looking game to play mobile…..you could just do that with the real game and steam deck, this is ultimately another excuse to provide a gacha based game that in a few years they will ultimately shut down service for leaving customers with nothing for the money they may have paid and probably a mostly disappointing game play lets talk about the Popular final fantasy character that never showed up upon the last game they made this is just square enix eager to be in debt with people again when they shut down with no regards to anyone, not this time square.

The game itself is actually quite impressive and enjoyable. I have no bad things to really say about the core game itself. The problem isn’t even the business model, it’s how aggressive it is. The perfect demonstration is displayed the moment you log in. The moment you log in you literally cannot get to the Main Menu without having to close DOZENS of login bonuses and ads for their premium engagement. When it takes me longer to close all their ads than it does to actually load the game, it’s remarkably irritating. Mobile games are typically designed to be played in short sessions. When that session is 90% taken up by, “SPEND MONEY!!!” it makes me never want to even open the game.

Good game, but I have yet to find another person in co-op, which makes unlocking any summon past the first one nearly impossible. Fix the matchmaking or remove the co-op energy requirement for summons. It games the game feel broken right when it starts to get good.

More of a gacha and less of a game. Somewhere between an idle afk game and a turn based one. There are things to do as you progress and work towards but the end game is your typical mobile gacha where you run the same stage on auto XXX amount of times and burn stamina. Most of the strategy involved is dependent on what weapons you are able to get and strong the weapons are (how many copies are pulled) clearing everything with base 5* weapons is doable but incredibly difficult compared. F2P is entirely possible but don’t expect to be able to clear all content.

I don’t mind the filler stories for the other characters, but I thought this was advertised as a game to expand on the lore of Sephiroth’s past, not an abridged retelling of Crisis Core and Final Fantasy VII.

I played this game until I realized it was just an excuse to siphon money. Waste of time.
  • Fix online co-op

online co-op is broken. Either no one plays this game or online is just poorly executed. Progression is stuck behind broken online co-op.
