Description

At Xero, protecting your data is fundamental to everything we do. Just one easily guessed password can stop your business in its tracks. So Xero has put an extra deadbolt on the door to help keep your data secure. This is why Xero uses MFA to secure logins. It significantly reduces the risk of someone gaining access to your account, even if they’ve managed to obtain your email and password through a phishing attack or malware. The Xero Verify app is simple to use. You can receive push notifications for fast authentication, instead of having to open the app and enter a code into Xero when you login. Simply accept the notification on your device’s home screen - it’s that easy. Features: * Sign into your Xero account using push notifications on your device (if enabled). * Generate six digit verification codes, even if you don’t have a network or mobile connection. * Use Xero Verify to authenticate your Xero account (it can’t be used on other products outside Xero) * Easy set up using QR code Permission notice: Camera: Needed to add accounts using QR codes Push notifications: Accept to receive push notifications Follow Xero on Twitter: https://twitter.com/xero/ Join the Xero Facebook Fan page: https://www.facebook.com/Xero.Accounting Privacy policy: https://www.xero.com/about/legal/privacy/ Terms of use: https://www.xero.com/about/legal/terms/

  • Don’t pay attention to Boomer reviews

This app is so simple and easy to use but for aging boomers that don’t understand how security works while complaining they are always being “hacked,” the idea of having to use another app to sign on (according to their reviews of this app) is an egregious violation of their petty time that would have been wasted in countless other ways. They can’t stand that they have to actually learn how to use something and just want the most simple process because they are entitled and juvenile refusing to learn and grow. This, in my opinion, is a very typical culture problem with the boomers and older generations. They can’t give an honest review because they can’t have an honest conversation with themselves about having to adapt. They are the cog in the wheel of our society blaming the younger generations for this complex technology while also reaping all the benefits of growing up in a time where they had access to incredible wealth, cheap housing, retirement plans and more. But instead of trying to understand how this two factor authorization app would help prevent the constant hacking of their personal information, they’d rather complain about a simple process that disrupts their simple lives and get mad about it. One of the reviews was “now my accountant can’t access the app.” That makes sense. These boomers can’t navigate an online menu nor communicate with another person to active them. It literally took me almost no time at all to simply email my accountant to activate an account for them to use. Now I don’t have to worry as much about being compromised. Thanks Xero for prioritizing security and not bending to these archaic geriatric dinosaurs that need to step aside and let us young folks take over.

Terrible app- annoying procedure. Will be pivoting our company away from this piss poor app asap. How can you have this many terrible reviews and still believe youre making good decisions. Listen to your clients- in the mean time we will be using a software that is less invasive
  • Annoying but it works

I didn’t want to review this before I got a chance to use it for a few days. I understand why people are upset about having to always verify when logging in, but after using this for a while I personally never had an issue with it and the app is responsive and works very well. As a reseller, I liked the user interface of Xero more than QuickBooks online so this is a minor inconvenience. Annoyance yes, but does it work? Yes as well.

Reading through the comments of these whiny “adults” sniveling about the app makes me automatically give it 5 stars. Thanks, Xero, for caring that my data stays safe enough to implement mfa. #GrownUpsDontSnivel 😉

It took me way to long to sign up on the app. Just send me an SMS code every time, that’s the best and easiest 2FA there is.
