  • Poor performing and same bugs as last year.

Every 2-3 days, I have to sign out for an error from failure to load and the retry button always ends in the same result. After signing back in, it works again. This error has persisted since last year without any solutions. Lately I’m being blocked from watching at all due to regional “couch rights”. I only watch in 3 places. On my family room Apple TV, basement Apple TV, and iPhone. The iPhone I use while traveling for work to watch the games (not that I can anymore). Now I’m paying for a service that won’t work in all three devices and when they do, it’s intermittent. Leaving me with the only solution available, cancel my subscription so I don’t get charged for a service that I can’t use. Go Cubs, go…..as in go to another app developer game r hire a new team for the entire Marquee platform. Anything has to be better.
  • Such a horrible app

Always crashes and tells me video is unable to play, constantly buffers and when I try to watch on my computer, it kicks me off at least once per inning. The audio also is delayed sometimes. Such a horrible app. Do better.

For it to never work right. Terrible.
  • Just Bad

Subtitles stay on and have to turn off with TV remote every time you cast, todays game won’t even load, this cash grab was not thought out by the cubs. Just terrible - also, local hospitals including the Veterans hospital don’t even have the cable channel. Gotta love putting up barriers for life long cubs fans to enjoy a game. Not.
  • Poor Quality for a Paid Service

Streaming services are pretty commonplace now. To have such poor UI in the watch experience (guides that hide on their own timing and not user controlled), to have to logout/login to get rid of caching issues and service error issues is pretty low quality compared to competitors. Compared to similar focused experiences for sports like F1 or others, this is the lowest value to quality and service of those services. Maybe they’ll get it right one day and invest and development appropriately for such an expensive service. The only reason why they’re able to maintain this overall rating and still make money is because they own a monopoly on the Cubs service and they’re taking advantage of their users because of that.

Finally have a way to pay and watch the one team I want. This rarely ever works on Apple TV, or anything else. I think they have so much location stuff so you can’t share it doesn’t even work on the users account
  • Horrible app

Biggest issue is you will never actually get live action. On average it’s around 30 seconds to several minutes delayed and we have Xfinity high speed.
  • Amateur Hour

Hire someone who knows how to code. This app is supposed to do one thing, stream Cubs baseball, and it fails miserably. “Service Request Error” on repeat. This is the major leagues, stop acting like the White Sox.
  • False advertisement or poor customer service…take your pick

Long time Cubs fan who moved to Wisconsin and still wants to watch. I went to the Marquee web site and they had a page for me to enter my zip code to determine if I am in the Cubs market, which it said I was. Signed up immediately and had a great month of viewing my Cubs games. Not gonna lie, it was great. Then I go to watch another game and it says my 30 day “out of market” is expired and that I should move back into market to continue watching. I called Marquee customer service and the first person I spoke to advised I WAS in the Cubs market area and that the problem was likely with my IP address. He said I needed to call my internet provider and ask them to refresh my IP or give me a new number. I did call and they informed me this was likely not the issue as they have what is called Dynamic IP addresses, not static. What this means is my IP address changes everyday automatically. I called back to Marquee to tell them what I had learned and the new person I spoke with now advised me that I am in fact OUT of market. To say I was upset is an understatement. I asked why it was I was allowed to watch for the past 30 days and he simply said sometimes they allow for out of market viewing. Makes no sense really. I asked for a full refund and he said I had to go through Apple as I purchase it through them. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said we couldn’t do that either. If I could have given this company zero stars I would have. I feel very slighted as a fan but I will continue to be faithful to the team. But the Cubs Organization should be ashamed of this product and apparently the service it provides. I am.
