KEY FEATURES Traditional frame by frame character animation. 12 frames per second, 3 layers per frame. Over 250 animations and 20 minutes of cinematics. A nostalgic and time-consuming process - but really worth the challenge for a small indie team of four. Single player mode with dual character control. Solve puzzles from different perspectives. Discover a story of true courage with two playable characters drawn together through an inseparable bond. Think outside of the box Spark your imagination and solve a wide variety of puzzles, presented in gorgeous hand-drawn environments. FEATURES • Traditional frame-by-frame character animation. • Single-player gameplay with dual character control. • Wide variety of puzzles designed to spark your imagination. • A moving story told through beautifully hand-animated cinematics. • Original musical soundtrack worthy of cinema. PRESS CUTTINGS • "LUNA feels wonderfully dream-like, and I love the Ghibli-inspired artwork. It’s a stunning game. The puzzles are fun and clever, too, and the orchestral music is simply wonderful." - A Most Agreeable Pastime • "Chiaroscuro is one of my favourite words, so what luck that upcoming point and click adventure game Luna The Shadow Dust has such a focus on light and shadows, giving me a tangential excuse to use it." - Rock, Paper, Shotgun • "There are few games as engrossing as well-made point &click puzzle adventures—nothing catches my eye quite like the intersection of intellectual challenge and stellar artwork." - cliquist.com • "Puzzles are promised, but the preeminent draw of this title is evident from the outset: its staggering art, complemented by its loftily luminescent music." - gamepilgrim.com • "The amazing, hand-drawn artwork — inefficiently, but so remarkably gliding and flowing, almost hypnotic." - bigbossbattle.com

  • Great style, very simple puzzles

The art work and music are lovely, the story is fine, and the puzzles are extremely basic. Really no challenge to the game at all. One star taken away because the player cannot get out of the ending credits without force quitting the app. (Seriously, developers, you're not so important that customers should be obligated to read all your names.)
  • Gorgeous, clever and like watching a short film

This was so unlike any other game I've played. It starts out quite simple, which is why it took me a few nights to get into it. But I was quickly hooked by about the third level, as it gets more challenging. So interesting to work two characters in tandem, using them to cooperate to find solutions. All while immersed in gorgeous artwork and sound. The cut scenes between achievements are like mini-anime films. Just wait until the ending. I celebrated my achievement in finishing the game, only to be surprised by a gift from the developers of a beautiful anime film that explained the whole game - its plot, characters and story history. Truly like watching a film. Can't wait to see what comes next from these developers. WELL worth the cost, as it entertained me for several nights.

LUNA's art style is something you’d expect from an indie animation studio, with moody, storybook illustrations, fantastical settings, and atmospheric soundtracks. Upon playing, I was immediately reminded of Over The Garden Wall—and pretty much anything from Studio Ghibli. One of the coolest elements of this game is the usage of two playable characters. Using the spacebar (or clicking) you toggle between characters, only being able to control one at a time. The puzzles are clever and increase in difficulty, requiring more interesting uses of both characters, and require problem solving around the concepts of time and space. Easily a 5/5 for me!
