on my spark 40w, EQ pedal is required in virtually all configurations to not sound muddy. this unfortunately uses up a pedal slot. other than that, it far exceeds my old fender modeling amp. just an odd oversight given it’s the flagship model.

Had to return the amp, would not connect to Spark app. Deleted and re downloaded app twice and did a firmware update on the device, but nothing worked.

I got the mini. Perfect for practicing. Its got great tone and enough volume for my living room. I especially love the app. Searching up a song and downloading the tones so i don't have to figure it out myself is the best. Highly recommend.

I keep hitting “forgot password” and it says they will email, which I have yet to receive said email. So I figure I might try logging in through facebook like with my bias fx 2 only to get this annoying message! “ App not active: This app is not accessible right now and the app developer is aware of the issue. You will be able to log in when the app is reactivated.” So yeah, wasted $150 on an with an app rhat won’t let log in. Stay away!

I love this amp but I just wish the volume would stay the same when I switched from different modes! 😞

Im an old guy and I play a cigar box guitar. This thing does stuff I don’t even understand. It will take me a while, but I have never found a better way to learn and sound than this. It’s up to me now, this thing is stupid cool. I play more now than ever with the jams.

  • Amazing but App needs a few changes

This has completely changed how I play the guitar and search for tone. Super fun to use and tinker with and is easy to grasp. The app itself is good, but definitely NOT great. A few suggested changes/additions- 1- while it’s neat to be able to turn the dials of each pedal and amp, it’s really not easy to control. I even converted to an iPhone plus to make it easier with the bigger screen. You should have an option to manually input your setting with the keypad or a slider. 2- you should be able to organize your saved setups in your own way. While the folders Pop, Rock, Blues etc help, you should be able to make your own folders and put your setups in your own lists. That way I can put all my Zeppelin presets in its own folder and then all my Pink Floyd in another like it is with the Jimi Hendrix package. 3- there should be a way to save multiple amp physical presets (the four settings you have tied to the 1-4 buttons on the amp/foot pedal). It’s a pain to switch each of those out (especially since you can’t organize your saved settings 4- it’d be nice to be able to quickly normalize your four amp settings so when you switch from one to the other it isn’t super quiet or super loud compared to the others. It’s especially difficult to manually due the things mentioned in my first issue (turning the knobs). Now this all super picky I know. I literally would have sold my soul for this amp and app when I started playing 22 years ago, but it also seems like these would be SUPER easy changes to make (well at least for the first 3). Hopefully with more updates some of the quality of life issues can be improved upon.
