Description

Customize virtually anything about your iOS keyboard, with simple drag and drop. Add or remove keys or rows, customize the way keys look and behave, change the duration until subkeys (the keys that pop up when holding on a key) pop up, add and remove subkeys and add keys with custom actions. MyKeyboard is beloved by its users for its ease of use and endless possibilities. For example, the emoji row is a standard feature of the custom Keyboard and can be changed to contain all of your favorite emoji. These emoji keys then automatically contain subkeys with similar emoji which you can personalize. By default, a number row is also in the keyboard, providing you fast access to these often-used keys. Another amazing feature of MyKeyboard is the switchable fonts. MyKeyboard contains 19 amazing fonts that can be used across almost all apps, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and iMessage. You can add a font key to your keyboard and switch to the font by tapping on it. Custom key actions include: - Insert Appearance - Insert - Replace Word With Appearance - Show Subkeys - Shift - Caps Lock - Cut - Copy - Paste - Accept Correction - Dismiss Correction - Learn Current Word - Switch Keyboard - Switch To Main Keyboard - Hide Keyboard - Next Input Mode - Delete Last Character - Activate Deletion Mode - Clear - Clear Left - Clear Left Word - Clear Right - Clear Right Word - Clear Word - Switch to Emoji Board (Switches you to the emoji keyboard; Learn more about this when you google emoji keyboard) These actions can be triggered on tap and hold. When no hold action is set for a specific key, the keyboard goes into trackpad mode, allowing you to shift the insertion point around by swiping. The deletion mode is similar and allows you to delete by swiping left and retract from it by swiping right. By default, it is the hold/press action on the delete key. You can also increase or decrease the key hold time until these actions are triggered, but you will have to perform swift key gestures when setting it very low. ~~ Keyboard Builder ~~ Use the keyboard builder for creating a fully customized keyboard layout in less than a minute. Your own keyboard layout is called “My Keyboard” and can be configured in every imaginable way. You can even add a copy, cut or paste key, a font key, an emoji key, a move cursor key, a “delete all” key and so much more. You can also create your own keys, for example for inserting copypasta or using copy/paste keys to perform these actions faster. We have made keyboard customization very accessible and it's easily doable for everyone. And it is customizable in every extend. For example, by adding a lot of g keys to a keyboard you could essentially create your own g board, or by adding multiple font switching keys to one, you can create your own font keyboard. ~~ Themes ~~ You can choose from a variety of free and paid themes, or go ahead and create your own customized keyboard theme. Theme customization can be used to change every aspect of your keyboard: background and foreground colors, shadow and border sizes and their colors, key corner radius and you can even set a custom height for your keys! Even a custom keyboard background image is configurable with your own photo. In the section “my themes”, you can see and manage all of your customized themes. Themes can even be shared with your friends who also use MyKeyboard!

App does not work on iOs 17.4.1; it's stuck on the 5 step screen with no way to go to another screen, even after fully closing and reopening the app.
  • The absolute best keyboard for IOS hands down!

I wish I knew about this app before. It is very customizable and much better than Swiftkey. I love the ability to move the cursor with a key and being able to swipe down to enter the symbols at the top of each key. How do I donate or pay for this app to support the development?
  • Really great concept. Execution needs work .

I have been wanting a keyboard app like this ever since we first got the ability to install keyboards on IOS. As soon as i saw it i downloaded it and paid to unlock the customization. So far im loving it(and now i just realized i forgot to put an apostrophe on my keyboard. Hehe). The UI is a bit confusing but is vary usable once you get comfortable with it. It seems people are giving it one star because they don't want to pay the $4.99 to unlock the apps customization. I might suggest letting the free version be able to rearrange the premade rows and pick which ones they want but not edit individual keys. Just a suggestion . Cant wait for more updates to my favorite app thats come out in a vary long time!
  • Unmaintained, garbage.

Scary that this app suddenly started deleting everything. If I typed on another keyboard and switch to this one the backspace delete would erase the entire section. It is sad that the displayed keys don't actually function with the characters shown either. A huge disappointment as a recent convert from android, the lack of a good keyboard in the Apple world was a big deterrent. Interesting response from the developer. Total bull from them as well. Too bad I didn't take video of my screen, I would've gladly made $100,000 bet. I always find it interesting that my tangible truth is denied by somebody who has a vested interest in my experiences being negated.

This app is great but there are a few issues with it. One issue is that after you set up a keyboard layout it removes the globe key, making it so that if you switch your keyboard to the custom one, then you are unable to switch back without completely disabling it, so there should be an option to keep the globe key on the custom keyboard. Another issue is that when you create a keyboard layout, you are unable to delete it without paying for the pro features of the app. I also have one feature suggestion, I would like to be able to type by swiping on the keyboard just like on the built-in keyboard.
  • Great, but I have a few suggestions.

Okay, so, the app itself as is perfectly fine- but it could be better. (Although it’s still fine as is, don’t get me wrong) Well, what are the suggestions i speak of? Well, for one, custom key images. (not text- images.) While the images we already have work perfectly fine, There’s just some niches that can’t be filled with the default images. I.E- Specific letters that aren’t in unicode, things only represented via fonts (I made a keyboard for my conlang so I had to improvise), Abstract symbols, Or if you just want an even more personalized keyboard. The list goes on from there. Another suggestion is making the UI for the keyboard selection more compact and user friendly. If you have multiple keyboards with multiple sub-keyboards, you’re gonna want to stay organized. Which is difficult since you can’t reorder them. I think my third and final suggestion would be inserting files. Self-explanatory.

So this is the only one I have found that gives me extra characters without extra rows. This replaced g-board for me since it has so many bigs and never updated. This uses the built in text replacement feature. Has a good swipe function, delete function and is very customizable for free. Note: it does not know at first but does learn quickly, as others have stated. A easy work around is to create a text replacement and put the contract spelling (you're) and in the shortcut field (youre). Problem solved.
