I can’t get past the chamberlain dogs. I beat them and then my screen keeps loading and loading and I can’t progress the story. What’s happening?
  • Great game with a lot of issues.

    By thanks, next.
I’ve played SAOIF ever since it was released, and as a long-time fan, I have to kinda say that I’m getting tired of it. I’ve lost 2 of my accounts by now due to the confusing menu setup, so I’m surprised I’m still here. And as much as I love the game, there are a lot of other issues I can’t ignore. - The world feels messy with Leafa, Yuuki, Eugeo, Alice, and Sachi around. Sachi is kind of an error with all of the SAO games (even though hardly anyone cares about her and she never appears again anyway), but the other four have zero right being there. I highly doubt most SAO fans would complain that the characters from other games weren’t present. I wanted an authentic (at least as authentic as you can get) SAO experience, but they all just ruined that for me. It messes with the original story so much, and it just breaks the immersion. - A lot of others have pointed this out, but the drop system is horrible. I’ve usually been lucky with the gacha system, but I know how poorly it’s treated others. A 2% drop rate for a 4* is low. Very, very low. I used to run a Mace, and there was such a clear favoritism towards Swords, Rapiers, and Bows that I had to switch. Even Koharu, whose canon weapon is a dagger, doesn’t have a full set of skills because of the obvious favoritism. - Someone else pointed this out, but the story gets very stale after a while. Your choices don’t matter, and it just feels like you’re following Koharu around and letting her make all of the decisions. I don’t like playing a game where I’m a backseat driver, I want to be able to control my character. This just makes it impossible. Then, there’s the story itself. [Spoilers for the ending of Chapter 1] In the game, we have to clear the 100th floor, but the story gets put on pause because two random players got admin access and refused to let everyone leave. It feels like we’re just meant to be trapped in SAO forever, which doesn’t sit well with me. I get that it’s because it’s solely based in SAO, and that’s fine, but it would’ve been nice to at least have it branch out. Maybe we don’t have to go to the other games, that’s perfectly fine, but I would’ve loved to see Koharu and the MC meeting after the events of SAO. It’d make the world feel at least a little more fleshed out. And maybe THEN, the characters from other games could be introduced. Overall, it’s great that you finally get to be your character in an SAO game, but these small issues just ruin the experience. I doubt the developers will see this, so thanks for reading my rambles.

While there is ALOT on screen when playing nd having to tap the camera, move it etc try to land attacks / spells never really work out I thought I can use a controller to help but it looks to good to be true. Looks pretty / fun tho but just to much to do on screen all at the same time with only 2 thumbs

It's 2024. If you make a game in 2024, a free-roaming open world game no less, and FORGET to include proper controls, you've embarrassed yourselves. NO ONE should ever make a game in this day an age without at least proper controls. 1 Star because they expect us to pick up an ever-increasingly warm device and claw at the screen with our thumbs like animals.d

This game: "YOU ARE THE HERO!" Also this game: *makes Yuuki the strongest player in the game, puts the spotlight on Kirito on the 50th floor boss fight while giving him the ultimate attack weapon drop reward, and gives Kirito the dual wielding skill instead of giving it to the player* Listen, I know this is how it goes in the original story of the manga/anime. But I thought the whole point of making this game was for the player's involvement to lead to a what-if scenario that makes the plot different. If I'm gonna play this game, is it really too much to ask that you treat me like I'm ACTUALLY the protagonist instead of making Yuuki and Kirito overpowered and treating me like a side character?
