  • App UX isn’t great and it’s slow

    By C Dearborne
I don’t understand the rave reviews for this app. On my iPad Pro, it does not go into portrait mode when I turn the iPad. It will only do that once a comic is being read but once I’m back in browse mode it returns back. It’s also very slow to go through the catalog. It has an add to library feature but it’s not really clear where my library is. I’ve added to lists but it seems if I add too many then the app either crashes or goes really slow when trying to access the lists. I typically download my books before reading because I thought that would make the reading experience smoother. That thought was completely wrong. Flipping through pages can be really slow especially if in panel view mode. The library of content is pretty good but the app is not. I’m hoping this gets better.
  • Good App, needs some help though

    By The_Comedian_MD
I would like the ability to view my saved lists in a separate window, not side scrolling forever. Also many old comics missing entire runs or random issues. It can be frustrating. Still a lot to love though, weekly new comics is a huge plus!
  • Garbage!

Only good if you give them money…. Useless otherwise… all you get is cover art. Whoever created this should be ashamed of themselves.
  • Very great idea, terrible execution

    By kuroakami
I love reading comics, I love DC comics. What I don’t love is this app. It works fine for a little bit and then boom I’m logged out and can’t log back in unless I’m not on WiFi? And I can’t read comics on WiFi either. This has been happening for months. Marvel unlimited has always worked fine. I should just be able to sit back and read these titles without crossing my fingers it’s gonna work. I might as well go back to paperbacks.
  • Laggy

Great but the app is always lagging
  • Too slow

    By Mad Thinker Scott
I generally like the app but it is so slow. I download my comics and when I want to read them, I have to wait several minutes to get to the page where the already downloaded comics are. They are already downloaded. They should be readily available. I thought maybe changing the strings would work, but it took really long for those to load also. I don’t get it.
  • Nothing Loads

    By Ghfxsd
App is very poor, the pages never load properly and it takes forever to load and read
  • Still broken as of 3.6.3 version

    By PS J 63
*Two months in now, and the latest update has done nothing to resolve the My DC freezing issue. Amazing level of ineptitude from these developers* Your app has been broken for over a month now - completely unacceptable for paying subscribers. After the latest update, the app is practically useless. Clicking on the “My DC” tab makes it completely freeze up. Update: Yes, version 3.6.2 fixes the landscape/rotation issue when reading comics. However, the “My DC” tab issue remains. Still freezes, still unable to access downloads and lists this way. Makes the service much less easy to use
  • Love the comics

    By Caesurae
I love the content that this subscription gives me access to. I miss being able to watch Harley Quinn on here, but oh well. The problem is that this app crashes, freezes, and fails to load way too often. I’m a dev so I know how hard it can be to get these things right and I can forgive a lot, but it’s at a pretty unacceptable level right now. DC needs to invest some time and money into this app
  • Good, But With Some Needed Room For Improvement

I have been a part of this app since it first launched back in 2018, back when it wasn’t just a reading app, and continued over when it’s original content made the switch over to HBO MAX. I have greatly enjoyed the many different types of comics I have come across, but in the past few months I personally have been experiencing a particular issue with the app, which despite reassurances from the support team, has yet to be resolved. I want to preface everything by saying that this is still a worth wild app to have, but the issues that have continued to present themselves, and the seemingly inability of the support staff to correct it, does put a slight damper on the total experience. And while I know that these hard working men and women are doing there best, clearly there needs to be more done. (For those curious about the issues I am talking about, they are that the app, when used on an iPad Pro 13, is trapped on portrait view when on the app homepage, and is unable to flip over to landscape view unless you are actively reading an issue. Also the reading event pages, instead of going from the next issue in sequential order as shown by the reading guide, it goes to the next issue in the individual series. For example, Fear State the complete story starts off in an issue of Catwoman, then what’s supposed to be next according to the app is an issue of Harley Quinn. Instead it takes you to the next issue in Catwoman instead of following the reading order and showing you the HQ issue.)
