This could be a 5-star app for me if two things were different: 1) why is the navigation calendar-based? just make it a simple-to-scroll-through level system. there’s no need for it to be a calendar. as it is, it’s difficult to navigate, especially if you’re wanting to do multiple difficulty levels. it would make way more sense to just have three separate tabs for the three different difficulties, and then just back-to-back buttons for different puzzles (as an example, take a look at the level navigation of Flow Free, another puzzle game) 2) there should be a way to mark boxes that you know for sure won’t be filled with an X or dull gray shader. in the same vein, when you fill complete one part of a multi-number column or row (for example, a row that says “1 2”), it should fade out the number that’s been filled. (example: row requires a 1 and a 2. the 1 gets filled. the number 1 should become faded out to denote that it’s been correctly filled). this will make gameplay way smoother and less frustrating, especially at higher levels. other than that, i really enjoy the overall design of this game. i feel it makes a good use of the screen space, which is something that a lot of picross-style games do not do very well.
  • Fun game with some caveats

Very enjoyable game. I play almost everyday. I debated on giving it a lower rating though given some problems. First, I have the music option turned off, but it still plays every time I open the app. I have to go into settings and turn it on then back off in order to actually turn it off. Some of the color schemes make the numbers completely unreadable. I’ve found that turning my phone to landscape and back to portrait usually changes it, but still a hassle. Navigation can be tough. I’ve played for a while. So if I want to do a different difficulty level on a certain day, I have to swipe for a while. Still 4 stars though because it’s a fun game and this one is much better than others.

I enjoy playing all three levels each day, but the way the game navigates, it takes me back to the first day in the past that I haven’t played after I finish a level. Right now that is 12 month’s. If I want to finish the current day, I have to swipe clear back to today. It’s annoying and frustrating. I would give the game 5 stars, but the layout and navigation is very poorly thought out.

I've played close to 400 levels of this game - it's just fantastic. The aesthetics are lovely, and the music fits perfectly. Excellent job, FRVR!
