I downloaded cubasis 3 after recording a couple songs on my grand piano using a tascam dr 07x field recorder, imported the WAV file. Used a couple special plug ins and the quality is amazing. Great extra EQ features that made my track sound great!

I am so grateful for this app. It has the perfect balance between functionality and limitation. I have used Ableton and Reaper for years and I find myself having a lot of fun these days just making music in Cubasis. Thank you all at Steinberg for this!

Would be nice if you had a channel for effects sends though. Maybe I’m just missing it.

I’m a life-long Musician ( Recording Artist ) I’ve been into every Music recording App on the Apple I.O.S Store and nothing has come close to Cubasis 3. As soon as I could afford it I just bought the App and all the In app FX purchases , ( and now with the extra Halion and Neo Fm Synth ) Purchases. I wish I knew about this App. before I bought half the AppStore in random synth apps and other squirrelly multitrack recording Set-ups. I must’ve spent at least $1,000 But Im not sorry cause I can use all those as well for plug in instruments inside Cubasis. I use “Geo shred “and all my “Module “ Pianos and synths . The quality is just getting Crazy -Good , and the new Halion and Neo FM sounds ,…rival all those other sounds I bought for their higher quality sound. This App is way ahead of the pack and is the closest you can get to a Pro tools or Studio-1 style / professional-Laptop D.A.W. For me I’ve found that the I-pad itself will falter first ( in CPU Performance) before Cubasis will. 1 trick is if you need to add so many tracks that it gets buggy ,..(which hasn’t happened to me,…) you can stop at around 15- 20 tracks ,..then mix them down to one stereo track on a empty song and continue to add 15- 20 more. This Things a monster and has features and secrets I’m still learning .

Wanted to give 5 but haven’t gotten deep in a project yet. New upgrade was what I was waiting for. Those new sound libraries are what it was missing, but not anymore. The tweaks for the new sound modules are perfect. I’m not a synth programmer but what they give you is simply beyond powerful in editing the sounds. And the sounds,… muwah! Can’t wait to get into it!
  • The Best DAW on IOS!!!

This app has increased my workflow after the 3.6 update! As a BeatMaker the MiniSampler has been clutch, but I wish Cubasis had a dedicated sampler that can sample from your files app , iPad audio or Spotify type apps like a MPC . Allow us to set a threshold, chop up samples and apply them to the keyboard chromatically with the the option to ad effects to the samples. Also , a halftime type of fx and this app would be the ultimate production and mixing app! Maybe it’s s just my wishlist , but a sampler with a expansion store is all this app needs! The iOS BeatMaker community on YouTube shows millions of producers having to bounce around apps and IAPs to get the workflow that works for them, but if Cubasis capitalized on that and filled that gap they would take all the iMPC, IMaschine, Koala, BM3, and Gadget fan base! Also can we get Sample Tank as a AUV3 and bring Sonic Synth to iOS as a AUV3….. full port! Thanks🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
  • The TX81z without windsynth capabilities, why?

I revisited Cubasis solely for the TX81z a classic synth patches for windsynth controllers like the Akai EWI and Yamaha WX7. Steinberg is owned by Yamaha, how could they miss this??? Sadly, you even left in the patch names that have BC (for breath control). Unless this is being mapped to something other than CC2, it is totally ridiculous to leave out this feature. All your synths should have CC mapping IMO. Also, with all the time you had to observe Logic your engineering team couldn’t add a tempo track and clip looping? SMH

iOS 16.6 m2 iPad Pro.. issues with routing MIDI… every time I try to route some MIDI into another track for side chain, waves tune, BLEASS voices for whatever reason my menu pops up behind the plugins. I can see the top barely and it won’t allow me to turn on or off anything. If you guys can’t fix this part then maybe just put another MIDI routing window somewhere or in the settings. Like AUM.. also with the visual browsing of the AUBE, it would be great if you guys could add a search bar when looking for Audio Units. Then we can use it with Cubasis instead of ONLY AUM… please PLEASE please… great app. But a few hiccups
