I was looking for a translation extension and Apple recommended this extension which doesn't work. I spent $3 on a useless piece of trash. It won't put an icon on Safari, when you right click a sentence, it is stuck on translating it into Spanish. It won't translate the entire webpage like the free extension I had that worked until the OS upgrade. Apple's reputation is suffering from such incompetence.

The first bug: if you select multiple lines of text, the translation result is only one line, The second bug: when the selected text exceeds a certain amount, the translation result will only translate one line of text

All the Safari extensions I have used work really well, this one was horrible and I paid 4.99 did not work at all. You should take it off the Apple Store

Does not auto-recognize languages to translate from. It does not translate the entire webpage and replace foreign text with the desired language. You must select specific blocks of text and the result just appears in its own text box and the results disappear whe you click away. I just want a button that translates all the text on the page. Apple, Please bring back SideTree Translate-It worked perfectly. How do I get my money back?

Set up the extension, but unsure how to set languages. Everything is “being translated” to the same language it is already in. When I clicked the support page, it is in a laguage other than English that, guess what, it doesn’t translate. Very unsure on how to proceed here.
  • I have concerns about how much personal infomration this tool can access.

In the Safari Extensions window, the permissions for this app are: “Can read sensistive information from webpages, including passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards on: All webpages” This is scary. I have disabled the extension because the way the app is currently described, it is distressing to me that a text translator would need access to so much information. Then again, maybe it is given this information so that it can potentially translate any text in a webpage? I don’t know why I would need to translate a password or credit card number. It seems that Apple or the software engineer should clarify this. I will be happy to change the review when it is clear that personal information is not being transmitted inappropriately through this tool.
