  • Great Game but There is a Problem

    I love the kingdom rush series games but there is a problem with this one. When there are a few enemies on the level, the game slows down. It's not lag or fps drops (the game is really slowing down like slo-mo videos). I know this game hasn't been updated in 5 years, but please release a bug patch to fix this because it really is frustrating with how much time it takes to complete a level because of the slowness effect. I have tried playing on the lowest possible graphics and it does not even help at all!

    Everytime I open this app in fullscreen, it freezes my Macbook Pro. Every. Single. Time.

  • Unacceptably slow on Intel MacBook Pro

    This game, built on Ironhide's oldest code base and never updated in 4 years, slows to a tiny frame rate and gameplay has enormous lag in the higher levels. This is on a 2017 MacBook Pro with integrated Intel graphics. I've read that it has the same problem on an M1 Mac! The other Kingdom Rush games do not have this problem. Well, Ironhide just released Kingdom Rush Origins for Apple Arcade, which runs just fine on the same Mac, but you have to subscribe to get it. I already bought this version and I would appreciate Ironhide publishing an update for this version's customers.

    Been playing the Kingdom Rush games for years now and I really enjoy them. Would be 5 stars but when too many sprites are on the screen we have major slow downs on M1 macs. Sometimes around 8-10fps. For refrence I'm playing on an M1 macbook pro with 16gb ram. Maybe it's still running under Rossetta and needs optimization. Outside of that it's a fantastic game.

    Update: Please add the unlimited mode (similar to the iOS version)! Original review: Glad they decided to port this game. I wish they had the store like the original game. Also, I don’t know why this can’t go full screen… But overall this is a great game. Worth the money!

    I have always liked TD games and this game is perfect! It is fun, challenging at normal and veteran levels and the music and SFX are really amazing. Congrats to Ironhide SA for producing quality games that are top notch.

    An excellent sequel to a very enjoyable tower defense game that I’ve spent many hours upon. This game improves upon just about everything from it’s predecessor including towers, enemies, maps, and most importantly, heroes. Each hero can now permanently reach level 10 and have new abilities to look forward to and to enhance your gameplay. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a challenge. One bug that really sticks out however, is the hero Nivus does zero damage with his auto attack, and consequently, makes majority of his passives useless. Please issue a patch Ironhide Studios!
