Paid $10 for the sole purpose of motion time lapse. DOES NOT WORK. Waste of time and money. Not happy.

I bought this for one purpose, to take spherical panoramas and for that it works swimmingly. You can adjust camera exposure in app (including full manual) and don't need to open DJI Go. Litchi for Osmo also allows you to capture bracketed exposures when doing panos. Keep in mind the Osmo (at least my regular Osmo) can only tilt the gimbal down 30 degrees. While this keeps the handle out of the photos it also means you get a 6-foot diameter hole in your panorama if the camera is at eye level. This is a limitation of the Osmo, not the app.
  • Half baked and abandoned

While it provides some nice feature to the 1st gen Osmo, it's buggy and unusable in many areas. Especially the Timelapse function is useless when you have tilt motion and it's very unfortunate. I'm sure osmo is smaller market than drone but it's a shame to see a capable developer who brought us Litchi releasing a promising but unfinished app.

I really love Litchi for my drones. This app is a waste of money. Has limited abilities.
  • Don't waist your money on this app

There's no editing options at all and you can't even see what you've recorded.. STAY Away From This App
  • Panos no longer work

After the app updated to 1.3.1 the panorama photos always stop on the third to last and second to last sets. The camera keeps taking photos but the camera stops moving. Tried on several iOS devices and same issue, tried adjusting settings, restarted devices and camera. Makes the app useless for the use it was purchased for.
  • No active track feature

I should have read the description more closely, but this doesn't have the active track feature like the drone app. I thought for sure it would. I would like to see that added.
  • Update: Osmo firmware breaks app on iPhone

New update 22JAN17: After updating to the new Osmo firmware, it broke the app on iPhone 6 -- cannot get a photo preview. However, after getting my older iPad mini out (with an older version of Go), it works fine on that. Only variables I can think of are slightly older iOS on the iPad as well as older vs. newest Go app, Also am getting issues with the pano failing to complete. Shooting 4x8 in RAW AEB-3. Once it stopped after first picture set, next time after almost the entire set but a couple sets short. Not sure the cause. It does fail almost every time if I try to record both RAW+JPEG and use HDR or AEB. Assuming it simply can't keep up and times out somehow. When it works, great. Just need to work out some of these odd bugs.
  • Happy with it

It won't fix the Osmo's tendency to wander a little during time lapses, but by applying a little "de-shaker" software, time lapses work very well. It's easy to use and does great slow pans. I'm happy!
