Exactly what I needed for food and symptom tracking. Food entry is fast and exports for my doctors are easy and clear. No toxic diet culture infused in like most other apps.
  • Genuinely Useful & All The Right Features

I love that I don’t need an account; it runs locally on the device too! I just have it installed on my phone and that’s it. I’m using this as a Migraine food diary, so I don’t need a calorie database or any of the other stuff that the other apps provide. I just love the simplicity of it. The first time you enter an item, it adds itself to the autocomplete list and it’s right there the next time you start typing. The features are locked behind one time purchases, not recurring subscriptions so it’s an affordable option for those of us that just need a simple app. Also the free version is excellent for trying it out. This will be life-changing for me as I can easily enter my meals and snacks (as well as symptoms!) and just have everything chronologically ordered. In the past I’d always stop entering things when using pen and paper or other apps as it was just too many steps and too complicated. This was precisely what I was looking for.
  • Revoked my Pro version?

I was really enjoying this app and upgraded to the pro version almost immediately. I like that I am able to track my food intake for my doctor without any reference to calories. However, after weeks of using the pro version, my app is now saying I am using the free version and I need to pay again for the pro features. I thought my one time payment was for lifelong access so I’m frustrated. My doctor’s appointment is coming up in a couple of weeks and the developer hasn’t responded to my email. Is this app still being monitored and maintained?
  • Just what I was looking for

Struggling with a suddenly worsened food intolerance and severe acid reflux, resulting in having to do an elimination diet. I checked out so many apps that focused more on calories and didn’t help me track what was happening in my body in response to specific foods or medications. Foody has been perfect for what I needed! Easily enter meals (love reusable ingredient breakdowns), track symptoms, and miscellaneous category allows me to document meds, exercise, and more. I used the free version and could generate pdfs for the last 7 days that I can easily share with my allergist & decided to pay for the full features since it looks like it’s gonna take some time and trial and error to safely reintroduce foods. Highly recommend this app for anyone trying to better understand connections between their diet and symptoms. My only negatives are that you have to pay for medication add-on separately from the lifetime paid version, and the Send Feedback link doesn’t seem to work. One thing I’d love is if there could be a desktop option so I could enter data from my laptop more easily than on my phone.

I liked this app so much that one or two days into free trial I purchased the full version. (The trial allows full functionality but the paid version allows unlimited usage- exporting reports and such). After another day or so I even purchased the medication add on. App is easy to use. I did have a question that took the developer a little bit of time to respond to, but he ultimately did respond with apology for late response. It turned out ok because I ended up figuring out the answer myself in the meantime. I did have a suggestion for one slight improvement and the developer answered quite quickly. I was told my idea isn’t quite possible yet but others have suggested same thing so my request is being added to the list of people making the request. (Ability to add photo into symptom section). Looking forward to bringing my print out to the doctor.

My recommendation would be not to try to download this app until the developer fixes the problem.

Like others have said I am on my own customized elimination diet. All the other apps track way too much data and I like that I get to decide what I put it. I appreciate the ability to add the time as I need to track specifics. I just got the upgraded version and it will be well worth it to get a pdf to share with my nutritionist! After years of searching I’m glad I found this app!
