  • Free version is unusable!!! Shame on you.

This is disgusting behavior. I understand that revenue is driven by subscriptions and helps to fund the app and it’s features…but don’t offer a free version and then proceed to harass me to purchase a premium subscription at literally every turn. They make it impossible to even open the app without a pop up that doesn’t even allow you to exit it or opt out of it. It’s outright manipulative and intrusive, which tells me that they care only about money and not about the user experience. If they allowed the free version to be a pressure-free trial run and then offered occasionally to upgrade, I’d be far more inclined. But at this point I’m ready to delete the app entirely because I’m just so annoyed. Chill out!!!!!! Your clients are WOMEN who are trying to get access to health care and information about their BODIES that barely exists today, and you’re monetizing that vulnerability instead of catering to it. The “self taught” MEN who founded this company that is valued at over $800MM should be ashamed.

You can link up your boyfriend to your flow, but it doesn’t give you the option to link your girlfriend. Which in any case I think linking your girlfriends flow would be more useful! :(
  • Ads for premium

I downloaded this in hopes of simply tracking my period and am constantly bombarded with them asking me to pay for premium. If it is going to be pushed on you so much, just charge for the app and don’t offer a free edition at all. It would be ok if it had popped up when intially downloaded, but it’s every time you try to do something. I deleted it because of the annoyance and the app is not very user friendly.

I used this app after finding out I’m pregnant in the “pregnancy mode” since I always keep track of my cycle on it and it was showing I was 8 weeks along, when in fact I’m 12 weeks after talking to my midwife. I wouldn’t rely on this app to be accurate tracking pregnancy/due date.
  • I shouldn’t have to pay for a premium subscription to access period education.

women should be able to learn about their symptoms and how to care for their bodies without having to pay for a subscription.

I’ve had this app for yearssssss and I mean years . I’m so disappointed. They’re literally taking everything from those who have this app for free. Today I went to check if I may be ovulating which you see for free on the calendar, the dates would be marked blue to indicate you may be ovulating around this time. So depressing to know that is not an option for us to even see anymore. I don’t want premium, I just want to track my period so that I know of something is going on, I understand it’s for app “development” but at this point don’t even make this app free to download because there’s nothing to offer for those that don’t want premium anymore. You guys literally went from giving us access to BASIC stuff like if we’re ovulating and seeing if our period was irregular or regular to then not being able to even access that Looking now for other apps that may be more helpful, and it’s so disappointing because I never thought I’ll have to even do that.

Everyone I open the app, it says I’m either on my period or I’m late when I’m not even close to starting. Not very accurate. I bet it’s better if you pay for the subscription but I’m too broke. I switched back to Cycles. Way more accurate.
  • Being charged after enabling free trial

I enabled the free trial because it said I would have two weeks free. Right when I signed up for the free trial I was charged.
  • They’d be able to profit more if they remove premium subscriptions

I understand the profitability of having premium subscriptions on an app such as this. But it’s unfair as you can only get extremely important features of the app by getting premium subscription. I wouldn’t be annoyed if the subscription was like a bonus, but you barely have an app for period tracking and education without the subscription. I suggest their team allow women to educate themselves about their cycles instead of only giving them that option once they subscribe. I think the app helps me, but it’s doesn’t help me as much as an app that doesn’t have a subscription does. That’s why i’m deleting Flo and using a different period tracker app that doesn’t make me have to pay for additional benefits that are the primary necessity of the app itself.
