    I connect my Wacom tablet to my Macbook Pro to use Tayasui Sketches Pro. I'm wondering if I don't get certain features because of this. The whole purpose of me buying the Pro version was to get certain features like creating and adding patterns, only I do not have that option. When I try to find videos and instructions online (which are very limited) it shows features in the pattern section like uploading your own pattern and creating your own custom pattern that I do not have. Why is this when I have the Tayasui Sketches Pro version?

    The App Store just asked me if I wished to update Tayasui Sketches, and thinking this was a Sequoia bug fix update I complied. But apparently Sketches has become a children’s drawing app in the last few weeks? It’s purple now (?), and aimed explicitly at kids. Tayasui Sketches was always my favorite art app because it was lowkey and quirky… but I’m not a kid, I don’t want simplified tools or an increasingly basic interface, or whatever other horrible things are in store for the future. I’m still giving it 4 stars because it doesn’t seem to be deeply changed (yet). But the rebranding is ominous & unwanted.

  • A huge let down

    I paid $20 to get something that resembled the iOS app. Instead there are numerous UI/UX differences that get in the way. Which is fine, I would get used to it, except there are huge features that have been really poorly implemented, in general. The export is completely non-sensical (exporting layers only works sometimes, you can't turn off the background for transparent export of individual layers, as on iOS, etc.). Meanwhile, the brush circle does not turn into a normal cursor when you hover over menu items, meaning I have huge problems clicking on toggle buttons in the preference menu or in layer control. Can I ask for my money back?

    I know I had the pro things before but i just spent $20 more for no eye dropper, no brush options, nothing is working as promised, and I know the first time I bought it, it did work.

    This app just randomly quits and YOU LOSE ALL YOUR WORK! There is no autosave function. So unless you're interested in saving after every brush stroke look elsewhere for a drawing app.

    I would have given this app five stars if I could get rid of this auto-connect line issue. Yes, I read your site's FAQS. However, the only visible preferences I see are for the stylus. (I'm using the Macbook Pro version.)
