I was using the standard version and upgraded to the Pro. Neither of them are working! How do you import a photo to draw on it and how do you save your art once it's done?

Well im learning brushes in photoshop, and if youve been at it a while I suppose its easy. I get a lot of ugly wormy brushes, with the Capture app, these brushes feel so goof to write with. I wish that I could create them in photoshop because they feel really good to draw write or do whatever, but thats it, I guess you could take a screen shot, but if it had more functionality like saving or even when you press erase it just seems to be a place to practice, there are no layers... nothing whats the story about this. Like a set of fabulous brushes that does nothing....

I'm using iPhone 6 which is not pressure sensitive, but the width of the line you draw does vary with speed--the faster you draw, the fatter the line. This doesn't work for Chinese calligraphy at least for me. I'd like to try the reverse -- slower stroke makes a fatter line, that would be more like a real brush.

The paper is buttery and weathered. The brushes feel great. The simplicity is welcomed after complicated art apps. Not too many adverts pop up in this low cost app that is now my "go to" quick sketching app. No need to update, imho. Just enjoy and do not let the few pop up ads disturb you. Do, though, use screen shots along the way as you create and when creation is complete. I find "photo" button is not always dependable. If you unintentionally touch the "x" or "back to tool selection" buttons, your work will be lost unless you screen shot saved it. This way I do not have worries about or problems with lost work.
  • Never could get past the full screen ad

Would have liked to at least try the app, but on opening a full screen ad appears as soon as I select a brush. Needless to say, I never got to the brush. Now the app's deleted, no more ad revenue here, ever.

Great art to practice my Chinese calligraphy when paper and ink are not available.
  • Nice app ruined by ads

The brushes themselves are lovely. Unfortunately every time you select one, another full-screen ad pops up. I would gladly pay a buck to remove them. While I consider the no-frills simplicity of brush on plain background, I do wish you could use more than one brush per drawing, or at least be able to import an existing drawing to switch brushes.

Lovely app with great brushes. Just wish there is more options ( like changing ink color or loading photo bg etc)
