    Many of us after the update been getting this error all the camera are useless unless paying into their subscription, I bought these cams because it was advertised as no subscription, what a crooked company

    Hear something in the middle of the night, launch the app. Get a login screen. I assume it’s because of a background upgrade but it’s sure unhelpful at 2am.

    ❗️NOW IT DOESN’T WORK WITHOUT PAYMENT❗️After 3 years of usage. They force you to pay to use it. My camera disconnected after update. And I can’t going to figure it out because I’m 500 km far from it. Hate your stupid app❗️

    Previous versions operated properly, but about 3 or 4 updates ago, a bug was introduced that prevents this. I like to watch TV while watching this, and the video will not go into landscape mode. I emailed support, and they suggested reinstalling the app. I did that, but the problem persists. I checked other iPads in the house, same issue. The funny part is that Yi support sent me an email asking me to rate their support. What support? You did nothing to solve my problem. If this problem is not resolved, I will throw out my yi camera’s, and buy something with support that is actually useful. On a positive note, the cameras are clear, the interface is OK, but not great, and having an mini SD card slot to hold video is a great feature. With a better support team, this camera system could be a winner. I am slightly concerned about Chinese ownership, considering China’s behavior recently, so if things get worse between our 2 countries, I may dump them anyway, due to security concerns.

  • Detections are not reliable anymore

    These cameras used to be good, but just realized that the detections are not working. There is my neighbor whose always used my driveway to do a 3 point turn and the mailman who comes to my porch everyday and i didn’t even get alert! The sensitivity and alert frequency already set to high. It really defeats the purpose. Please fix the issue. What is wrong? Firmware issues?

    Estoy bien Feliz con mis cámaras se ven muy bien tanto de día como de noche. Las volvería a comprar. Pero las recomiendo 100 por ciento. Thanks YI.
  • Wonder how my review keeps getting deleted

    Interesting how they fix bugs and my app crashes a lot more and gets stuck showing video at 30% or 80%. Also, if your reading review before you buy, note that video is delayed 4-5 seconds even when in same WiFi as camera, video is sent to their server regardless of whether you subscribed, and most features involve a subscription.
  • Updates removing cameras

    Love the cameras and used to find the app easy to use. However, these last two “bug fix” updates have removed all of the existing cameras and their history. Very annoying that I have to reset and reconnect every single one after updating. Hope that doesn’t continue to be the case.
