I recently purchased the Positive Grid BT-4 pedal and downloaded the app on my iPad Air 2. No problem connecting the pedal to the app, and using the pedal to control BiasFx worked fine. I also wanted to use the pedal to control the Loopy app and there were some brief instructions on configuring the pedal on the Positive Grid website. I was eventually able to get it to work, but using the instructions caused a significant delay between pressing a switch and Loopy responding. Eventually I was able to figure out how to fix the problem. I then discovered that after I exited the app and restarted that my configuration changes were gone. Only after much fiddling did I discover that it was necessary to select the check mark on the upper right of the configuration window to actually save your info. Similarly I discovered that you can rename or delete a bank by swiping it to the right. Neither of these were documented anywhere I could find. I would give this five stars if the documentation were more complete including all of the controls in the app and information on which midi messages are sent and when ( button down or button up?, etc)
  • I want to like this

The idea is great but the execution isn't. Biggest problem I have is that no changes to the user bank settings ever save. I've modified the midi control settings countless times using positive grid's own BT-4 pedal. When I turn off the pedal and then try to use it again, all of my reconfigured settings are lost. It's useless as a performance tool with multiple user banks if it doesn't actually save user settings. I don't have time to reconfigure before each gig. There are no helpful hints or manual pages that describe anything that I'm doing wrong either. So it's a fail on two different levels.

This product works awesome! We use it with OnSong for controlling lyrics and running our show. It makes the four pedals of the BT4 able to do so much more. Love the combo!

Pre ordered the pedal for $120 to use with all of my positive grid apps on my iPad. The app loads up and then is completely unresponsive. Hope they provide a usable update soon so I can put this awesome concept to use and not just have a big expensive paperweight.
  • Unusable

I hate to write this because I prepaid for it and waited months for it. I'm using an iPad 3 and a mission engineering EP-1 expression pedal all going in to jamup pro. For me, it is totally unusable. The connection cuts out every minute or so when controlling the Wah pedal. Also, there is no power plug supplied (nor is their a DC in jack) and the batteries required only last around 10 hours at best. There is a tiny bit of latency in toggling stomp boxes which is not a deal breaker but it is noticeable. Also, I am having trouble getting my user presets to save. They get lost every time I connect to a different device, so unless you are happy with their presets, you have to reprogram yours every time.
  • Just tried to see if it worked with blueboard....

It doesn't....the bt4 is about a year or so too late which is a shame because I use all their apps...but all of my hardware is irig...they should join forces and cross platform everything...let positive grid make the apps and ik make the hardware...still 4 stars.
