I have played this game for 6 years, but I will not play anymore. The people behind this game has not put anything new on here in a couple of years. There is a screen that says “New chapters coming soon”. That was over 3 years ago and nothing has been added. Please put new characters, new pets, new scenery and more upgrades all the time like Subway Surfers. This game is boring the way it is. I will not update until new content is added.
  • Very cool!

I’m a huge fan of this game, I’ve played subway surfers for years and when I saw that the same creators released a similar game with a more rpg action style I couldn't wait to try. I was very happy with the game and I recommend it!

It’s just subway surfers with swords and a lot of jank that elevates the feel
  • Great game, but lacks long term content.

Since this is a Sybo game, the easiest way to summarize this game is that it’s a faster, flashier, but more involved Subway Surfers. But, while fun to play, this game lacks the “evergreen” support and content that Subway Surfers has with is world tour, so the only appeal Brim really has is how much you enjoy actually playing. That said, I absolutely love playing this, specifically because of how involved it can be. Although Brim is approachable, it’s still a hard game to “play well”, though I mostly mean this in a good way. Brim’s controls and mechanics are easy to learn, but fully understanding them, and chaining everything together at high speed is just objectively difficult. The fact that Brim has labeled difficulty levels rather making it be a hidden ramp up to me shows that the dev team wants Brim to be hard, to push any player to their limit. Still the learning curve and active player input required to go far can be a turn off to some. I don’t entirely see that as a problem though, as you don’t have to play “seriously” to make progress and unlock rewards. I just feel the game is at its best when playing to go as far as you can, and even among other infinite runners it’s one of the game’s strengths. While the core loop is solid conceptually, there is a notable, but understandable amount of jank in practice. This can mainly be seen with enemy interactions. While the swipe to attack method is easy to understand, it can feel unresponsive if you don’t know or work around its quirks. This is most noticeable with the side attacks, as in high difficulties you’re forced to work harder to position yourself so that when you do swipe to attack it hits the enemies you want. Understanding how knockback works for armored enemies can also feel a bit jank, but knowing your attacks can affect where they fall helps. Honestly, I think this game still has a lot of potential to grow. The amount of ways the game can already be tweaked with the gear and swords, leaves a lot of room for new ones to be added. For example, all of the armor currently in the game only buff the duration of power ups, but armor could be added that instead buffs the durations of pet summons, or provides you one of any number of the buffs the weapons have. The latter has even already been done, with some boots extended wall runs. Weapons could be added the grant or extend power ups with enemies killed. Even without implementing new mechanics, there are still a bunch unique combinations to try and add. Really, any new content that’s added to this game will give players reason to come back, which might get them to reconnect with the core loop. But, even as the game is now, it’s one of the few that I enjoy the basic tap and swipe play of, and come back to play every few weeks, flaws and all.
