  • Cannot log into the app on the phone

    I cannot log into the app on the phone. I deleted the app and installed it again, but that did not help. I used another email address to sign up, but I still could not log in. I keep getting an error saying that log in failed. I can log in on the webpage, but that does not have the breathing exercises. I sent a message to the support team, but there was no answer. I do not recommend the app.

    Whenever I try logging in it says that a POST method is unavailable. I only gave it one star as I cannot login despite paying a premium for the application. I also would mention as far as cold exposure goes I would like to track the amount of time and temperature for cold plunge. They only have time for a cold shower but for a cold plunge you can just say you did it and give it a rating which seems a little ironic. Other than that the UI is great but the login method needs to be fixed, cant have a development error on login as i no longer have access to this app.

    In short, this is a great app, particularly for the guided breathing, and the charting that comes along with your retention times to log your progress. This could easily be a five star app, but there are a few things that need to be changed. For example, on the results page, you should be able to pick what you want to chart; meaning I do daily ice baths and breath exercises, but for some reason it defaults to cold showers, and will only log cold showers. This is a small detail, but one that matters for an app that you’re paying for. It should have the flexibility to change those things on the results page to whatever your routine reflects so you can accurately track the things that you’re working on. Also, a small criticism, but many of the guided exercise videos will not play through cleanly without stuttering for some reason. This is on Wi-Fi, on a new phone, so there’s really no excuse for those videos to not play through without buffering again. These are small criticisms, and I use the app every day and I love it, but I would love to see these changes implemented.

    This app is not a luxury tool as the developer claims. It is basic as can be. Wim had a good message, but got co-opted by greedy corporates. Now they want a subscription close to the cost of Apple Music or Netflix (billion dollar complex economies) for their basic unchanging guided breathing app. Must be nice wim…
  • 5-star app, however…

    Love this app, I do the Wim Hoff method everyday and love that it not only records the retention times for breath work, but calculates averages and charts your progress over time, which differentiates it from simply using a standard timer. The app started quitting randomly though during retention recordings, which is kind of annoying but a minor issue.

    Love the app and I’m using it a lot, thanks to Wim and the team for putting it together. One suggestions: when doing the guided breathing exercises, it would be cool to chose the number of rounds in the beginning, or to be able yo edit the rounds afterwards. I do 3 rounds, but it automatically goes to the 4th and even if I stop it after 2 seconds, it still puts it in my average. Thanks
