Weird options. No reason to use over Microsoft RDP.
  • MAC上比较优秀的RDP客户端

    支持多屏幕,显示效果比微软远程桌面要好一些。如果只使用RDP协议的话,还是免费的。比较推荐。本来准备买一个jump desktop,结果发现了这个软件。
  • please stop asking for access to my camera!

Recent update enables access to camera, however if you don't want to give it access it will keep nagging you to give it access every singel time it connects - even if just plugging a monitor in. Please allow us to turn off camera access so it stops the constant nagging! Issue is compounded by Parallels needing to constantly reconnect because it crashes a lot, all in all not a well polished app.
  • Shift key not consistently passed through?

Why do remote apps have so much trouble interpreting caps lock backwards, and/or in this case, the Shift key only working 1/4th of the time?

I have the new macbook pro M1 Max 16" and when connected to a remote desktop session the window does not scale to the screen. Instead there are both veritical and horizonal scrollbars. Please fix.
  • Better than Microsoft's Client for My Purposes

This app allows a little more control in swapping the keys that get sent as the ctrl and windows keys than Microsoft's client.

Using the Parallels client on windows was no issue. Once I got a Mac and began using the Parallels client on it, it constantly crashes my connection within 5 minutes of each time I connect.

As an IT guy I spend most of my day in this app. Its been reliable and has a nice set of features. Microsoft's own app crashed too much. This app simply does the job and does it well.
  • Just no

I wanted a reasonable alternative to Microsoft RDP, which is acceptable, but does some dumb things. I don't know what happened to Parallels, who used to make decent stuff. This app starts up, says "no connections: cancel, import, or open?" you click "import" the dialog goes away and nothing happens. I guess that's your only chance, because the File menu is "Import Settings"? Ok. File > New Connection. Get what look like buttons, but you have to click the text in the "button" specifically. "Standard RDP" - oh look the next dialog. The top 1/4-1/3 of which is plastered with a bright red and completey unnecessary "|| Parallels(r)" logo. That's why I quit paying for and using Parallels Desktop VM. The app - that I paid full price for - would not stop trying to hard sell add-ons and upgrades. It's a better product for Mac than VBox or VMWare, but way too pushy. This "Parallels Client"? Just no. Microsoft's RDP client is less obnoxious.
