  • Login Issues

Constantly kicks you out and fails to login multiple times. When you fail to login, and use the MFA token, you have to wait 10-20 minutes until a new one is generated to attempt to login again. App is broken.
  • Total Waste

Paid for 2 courses. Only received one. Their customer service would be a total joke IF IT EXISTED! Absolutely zero ways to actually reach anyone. Then the app logged me out & gives me an error message logging back in & I already know there’s no customer support so I can’t do anything about it. So I lost the other course I paid for. Not to mention these certificates don’t mean anything to any legitimate company. Total waste in every aspect

Unfortunately this app has let me down as of late. On the way home from a long trip I was hoping I could knock out a third of this 32 hour course. Needless to say I got about 18% through because of the constant issues. It’s hard to learn when after 3 lectures it goes back about 5 for no apparent reason, even with great internet connection or when the course is downloaded. It seems to be a consistent issue because I tried to play the course again while working - the same result. I hope this is fixed soon!

  • Udemy online courses app is terrible

The Udemy courses on my iPad via Safari worked exactly like they did on my desktop, which was great. Used it that way for years, but Udemy made some change recently and now it works differently on the iPad, and not that well. It’s unusable really, so Udemy is forcing iPad users to use the app. The problem with the iPad app, which I use for music courses, is when I pause the video because I want to practice the music, the screen dims and there is an icon and some options that display in the middle of the screen. Not only that, but I have to touch the ‘ Play’ icon directly to resume. Before I could touch anywhere on the screen to pause or start the video. It is not a good user experience to use this app with music courses. The only reason I do is because I can’t put my desktop on my keyboard music stand like I can with the iPad. It’s one thing to make an app as a choice for users that want to use it, but they shouldn’t have changed the way Udemy works on Safari when logged into Udemy.com so that users are forced to use this inferior app.
  • The app needs repair or warnings to not waste your time downloading courses

Udemy App issues: I down load the video courses to watch when I am offline. This is important that you note I go offline and do not have access to the internet at various times. When this occurs I may want to spend the time watching videos. This is also important to note that I pay for my internet service. So when I download stuff I don’t want to download it again and again. It was downloaded once. That should be enough. My time should not be wasted. My money should mot be wasted. My devices should not be wasted to download something twice. It wastes my battery life to do something like download a course. And it seems these considerations are not given to a careless app design. I find that upon the Udemy app having been open in the background for several days and then being opened from the background to use it will suddenly need authentication. Upon signing in I find my downloaded courses are gone. The iPhone will still show that the enormous amount of data volume is still in the iPhone and yet the Udemy app won’t access the downloads. What I find is when I open the app, sign in as prompted, click the upper right burger-downward arrow stack, select “Downloaded Courses” the items are gone and I see “No Matching Courses” as the thing I see, indicating the actual files on the iPhone are not visible to the app. If I open any course, I can see the download arrow is not “purple” to indicate it is downloaded. It is gray to indicate it needs to be downloaded (again). The app mo longer sees the files I have downloaded and are still on the iPhone. If I go into the iPhone Settings > General > iPhone Storage > wait forever, I can eventually see the contents of the iPhone and it’s apps that take up space/storage volume. My Udemy App is one I try to download the videos as discussed above. So I have over 387GB of Udemy videos. But none of them are accessible inside the app upon updating it or being signed out. I am unsure if updating the app is what has caused this. But this is the third time it has happened and is causing me to question what is going in with the app… If I open a course I know the videos were downloaded for (as I had been previously watching them), and I click in the downloaded section it will be blank and state “No Downloads Yet” “Your downloaded lectures go here”… But mine are not showing up. The iPhone says they are still in it. The Udemy app cannot see them…any help is welcome.

When I go to review test results, there seems to be a visual problem. The text gets much smaller and the website seems to have glitches which makes it hard to use
  • Deceptive Prices

Prices often shown list for $19-$25 until you go to check out. Then they slap you with a full $99-$120. And thats even for outdated courses. Case in point. They still have PMP courses that reference version 6 study books when version 7 is the new standard b
  • Don’t do it! Horrible customer Service

I’m not particularly one to complain but the service provided from Udemy was horrible, I feel it’s my duty to help those looking for a business education source! There are better choices! Udemy customer service is unprofessional, unreliable and can’t process information. I would highly suggest working with another company, I have countless emails with udemy, email me and I’ll send them over. Find a better source, I’m up and running and all 1000 students are happy! If you live a headache with your start up pick Udemy.
