  • Photos don’t load, but ads sure do!

    Most of the time when using the iPad app, the photos either take forever to load and make the article jumpy, or don’t load at all. But you can be sure the ads, photo and video, have no trouble. Today is a perfect example. Can’t see any of the 9/11 memorial photos. App is up to date, as is the iPad. WiFi is full strength. And I have to login every few days lately, despite choosing the ‘remember me’ option. I have no problem paying for a news app, if it works well and has worthwhile content. Improve the experience before you lose a paying customer.

  • Why fix what wasn’t broken?

    I understand writers need to get paid. Money makes the world go around, but NJ.com puts almost every news article behind a paywall now like they’re Apple News+ now. Also the comments system is completely gone now. I’ll go elsewhere for news from now on mostly.
  • Update freezes

    The new update constantly freezes. I do not have this problem with any other news app & I have six (6) of them. The new design & update if this app is lousy. Everything cluttered && no in depth reporting anymore. Who wants to subscribe for this! Bring back the old design. So surprised & disappointed that you select several articles to be exclusive to subscribers. Make it a pay app only it you are that desperate! During this pandemic, all news regarding COVID-19 should be free to all! It’s so unethical of you to suddenly not give access to read all news regarding COVID-19. I checked out the subscription & it is excessive & not worth it. The same topics on the Trentonian app are more in depth & thorough. Incidentally, you can still read the same article that is “subscriber exclusive” elsewhere on the web.

    When navigating through sports for example i’m always required to sign in. Cant zoom in on photos like via web browser. Links to other stories within the app seem to be hit or miss.
  • Disturbed by their insistence on subscribing

    We are currently experiencing a global pandemic. Millions of people losing their lives to COVID and important information is being withheld from those who will not/cannot subscribe. This isn’t dumb gossip news but important information that should go to all! I will be uninstalling this app from my device.

    I realize we are in difficult times (2021), however, forcing people to subscribe for a monthly/yearly amount is disgusting! The price of reading your articles is too high! I’ll just delete your app and WATCH the news!
